| I was wondering if and where i can find Auto guns that look like the ones in the rule book, kind of like m16s. i was thinking of making a more realistic guard army and was wondering where i could find them or if anyone has tips on how to make las guns to look like m16's that would be helpful.

| ![]() Im not sure about M16's, but Ive converted my fair share of lasguns into auto guns. Using your standard issue lasguns and old style marine bolters, I made a couple of " SMGs " of sorts for a project of mine. Please excuse the blurry pictures. I started by shaving off the imperial eagles and trimming down the lasgun barrel even with the front sight. I then removed the butt stock completely, followed by the ammo/battery clip. From the bolter I removed it's SMG style butt stock followed by the ammo clip which cut it in half length wise to fit in the appropriate place on the underside of the lasgun. I replaced the gun barrel on the lasgun using a bit of brass tubing, switched out the ammo clip, then glued the SMG buttstock from the bolter to the back of the autogun but inverted it to make it look like the sliding stock on an MP5. For extra bits of realism I added suppressors made of plasticard tubing. I made foregrips on some of them using trimmed down handles from combat knives. You can expand on this by adding targeting scopes or flashlights ( made with targeting scopes ), or whatever you think of. I hope this helps and gives ya some ideas. ~ ID

| Marshall Arnim Kagori ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I also make autoguns for my Heavy Infantry in a similar manner to ID except I use the new bolters b/c I have a tone of them laying around and I use plasticard for the barrels. Works pretty well, though for M-16s try getting a hold of a modern weapons pack or something in 1/35 or 1/48 scale and try those out.
