Njils Stormclaw, once wolf guard champion of Erak Ironwolf's great company, ascended to the lofty position of Wolf Lord to a great company on 954. M41 when the previous wolf lord was killed in a near suicidal boarding mission against the space hulk preying on the merchant and military ships of the Terialis sector. Unknown to the company of space wolves and the orks holding the pace hulk a deeper threat lurked within the deep, unexplored regions of the hulk. when the boarding partys landed, the packs split in to their designated groups and set off for their objectives, with the wolf guard and lord heading for the nominal bridge of the cruisar, the imperial battleship "imperator gloriam", to decapitate the ork waaaagh, before it could reach any inhabited planets, rather than preying on the supply routes. Fighting fiercely and with the cunning born of the canis helix the wolf guard and their lord fought their way to the bridge with every weapon available, whether by tooth and claw or by the weapons gifted to them by Ironwolf himself, clad intactical dreadnought armour, they represented the epitomy of the fighting force of the astartes. on arriving on the bridge they discovered they're counterpart. warboss gralnak and his retinue of hulking nobs stood on the bridge, wearing hissing suits of functioning yet basic suits of powered armour. beast met beast in the conflict with casualties on both sides. nils smote several nobs with mighty sweeps of his frost blade, a gift from erak in the anglathrax campaign. he forged his way to the conflict between the warboss and erak desperate to help his lord. a howl of rage echoed across the bridge and nils found his lord at the feet of the warlord with great rents in his armour, torrents of blood streaming from each. Nils vision was flooded with red as he scooped up his fallen lords thunder hammer, Thunderwolf, and fought with hammer and blade against the mighty warboss, with the rage of the wulfen guiding every blow. the warboss parrried each attack with a cumbersome power weapon but even the mightiest tire. with a boom that shook the ground the thunder hammer connected with the warboss's knee sending him sprawling. with a wolf-like howl the champion swung the hammer above his head and down on to the warboss's head, bursting it like rotten fruit. With the rest of the company having achieved their objectives, the sabotaging of the hulks plasma generators, the space wolves began a hasty retreat, with the body of their fallen lord.
Wolf Lord Nils Stormclaw still rules his great company, eschewing the use of terminator armour, except in the void he still fights with his once-lords hammer, thunderwolf, to this day smiting the enemys of the emperor. Other notable actions fought in and heretics purged are examples to the imperial armies as a whole. He has fought and killed the Dark Apostle Mithras the Relentless, the eldar pirate king althusiel and clashed with Ahriman of the thousand sons on several occasions. on campaigns his most notable actions, the storming of the corrupt fortress kasr tolion during the 13th black crusade and the beheading of the Storm Bringers army, leading the spearhead and executing the chapter master and 3rd company captain himself.

still needs aheroic base. im holding off until i can borrow a pin vice because he has very little area attached to the base. still needs finishing off....

Looking good, very good indeed. I see that he isnt getting the Blood Claw treatment which is nice to see
