 |  BvL's Iron Hands Terminator WIP Ok everyone for the may competition I'll be entering my Iron Hands Teminator Sergeant. We'll see if I get him done as I'm also working on a bunch of stuff in real life and trying to crank out some more Death Korps. I'll post a proof pic soon and hopefully start soon as well. I think its neat because you can retain the armor look of a SM but still have the bionics. Maybe throw some servitor or adeptus mechanicus bits in there!? Radeon |

Blog Entries: 4 | Re: BvL's Iron Hands Terminator WIP The easiest way I can think of to fake bionics (especially for termie sized legs) would be copper wire, panel pins/paperclips, GS and fishing gut. The copper wire and pins would do for the hard frame of the bionics, fishing gut for the wires (might be cheaper than guitar wire) and the GS to sculpt any fiddly technological bits. Looking forward to seeing this man. Are you planning on using the same antiqued scheme you use for your Death Korps?

| Re: BvL's Iron Hands Terminator WIP I'm not sure yet as for the weathering and battle damge b/c it could go either way for the Iron Hands. On one hand the Terminators they employ are incredibly old and on the other they try to take care of them with Ad Mech diligence and have the connections to do so. So I'm undecided right now but I havent built him yet so I have some time.

Even without the weathering, your models look old, as though the colours were painted on and wiped away, so they look worn in and muted. It works but its different from what I'm used to seeing on models and I'll be interested to see how it works out for this model.
