lol let me clarify the dreadie: i put the top on for gaming, etc. but for showing other people i can pop the lid off and show the innards :] after all, it's not right for a former chapter master to be all open and exposed like that ! haha

well done r4, the ammount of work you put into that thing was truely inspiring and really paid off in the end. everyone has done exceedingly well in this comp and should be justifiably proud of their efforts, and even if it wasn't a winning piece your entries are still awesome minis that will wow anyone that comes accross them.

oh, and erus...i hope you choke on a damn terminator!!!

I was thinking of having a terrain contest shortly after the painting comp (give it a months lag for people to get caught up and assemble materials, etc..). After that, repeat the cycle from conversion to painting to terrain comp! Every 4 months, a cycle is done. Sound good?

also, and i dont know if im alone in this, but i really thing that voting should be open to everyone who cares to vote, not just the entrants. that will get a more even distribution of votes, if yall know what i mean.

i think perhaps a panel of members who are not competing with a preset areas to judge on (you can have "wildcard" or "great feel" area too) would be more acurate.

i'm up for the next one.....oh what i still need to get my entry in for the painting comp.....damn i better get to work.....

Free style conversion
Free style painting
Free style terrain
Themed conversion
Themed painting
Themed terrain
*repeat*

that way every other contest of the same type lets people do what they want with no big guidelines
