Default How to score in the painting comp/.

On the 1st of March can you please copy and paste this into the model you are marking and mark out of 10:
(remember, you HAVE to mark all other entries except your own. You score the entries in each of the Final entries threads)

Colour
Base
Atmosphere
Technique
Overall Skill

This is what you are looking in each catagory:

* Colour (how well the colours work to enhance the miniature)
* Base (How well the base contributes to the overall miniature
* Atmosphere (marks are awarded according to how well the miniature fits into it's respective fluff)
* Technique (how well advanced techniques are implemented)
* Overall Skill (marked on how the miniature looks overall)

1= bad 10= amazing

Please try and stay consistant in your marking. Try and take no notice of who has painted them, just mark the mini at face value.

remember you cannot mark your own, but MUST mark everyone else's entry otherwise your marks WILL NOT be counted, I will try and contact you if I think you have missed one.

Remember be kind as well, this is a hobby and we all love what we do, so dont be to harsh! But reward highly for a job well done

Any questions......you know where I am!

An overall comment is allowed after you have scored, but keep them kind with any crit delivered in a positive manner! Plus try and keep them as short as pos!

...There's always one!

The atmosphere would be how well it matches into the WFB world. But if you are worried then you could make a thread on the subject of the mini/army/back history. I did say you could do this in the original rules ..way back...

For an example most people know what a Grey Hunter is and how it fits into the 40K world, so it would be easy to for people to rate.

If anyone is bothered, by this then please feel free to make a thread about your mini's army and background.

My entry has fallen through. Am I still allowed to vote?
(guessing "no", but might as well ask)

Uni and other commitments tied my hands. Feb was not a kind month to me. Next Conversion comp I'll be back... and then I'll paint it for the Paint Comp.

I just wished that you'd let me paint the Orky Dread... I liked (and was more enthusiastic) about him

Maybe, but I would have been more willing to blow off those commitments to paint it

I'm not blaming you Mart. I know it would have been unfair.

Give me a few to see what my plans are for tomorrow.

Before I forget, please do not edit your scoring replies, if you do please specify exactly what your editing. Double check your post before you post as your 1st score is the one that is counted!!

Thanks guys and good luck,

And can I just say, everyone has really pushed the barrel out with these entries, I dont think I have seen such a high standard on a forum before.

You have a fun, but tough job marking these!!

well i've just been taking a gander at some of the finished models and i can honestly say that this comp is gonna be a close one! i reckon that it'll be only a matter of a few points that seperate the entrants in the end.

best of luck to all, i'll see you on the judging floor
