| Re: iNsOmNiAc'S dReAm Painting Comp. Entry  Well its no where near finished, but I decided to go with something a bit more 'Slaaneshy'. Im really liking the effect of shading purple over a blue base, its kinda trippy. Im not sure what color to paint the guitar yet, im thinking maybe a green of some sort to contradict the purple armour, we shall see.

Its starting to look more and more like a peacock =P. As for the guitar Im still clueless on what color to paint it... Oh and Hairy yahoo thanks for that lovely tut on painting purple armour, I found it enlightening  On a side note I decided on a name for my lil Noise Marine here. His name shall be Yngwie, after one of my favorite guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. He dresses awfully peacock like too, so I thought the name was fitting. And heres another pic of something else Im working on, just for $hits and giggles... Some of you may know her

Entry the blending on the left leg looks very tasty but the right might need a bit of work and it's not quite as smoothe, juless it's just the camera playing tricks the hair is just awesome!as for the guitar i wouldn't do anything too garish as it might detract from the good stuff going on with the armour. maybe get some real life inspiration as there are some really funky looking axes out there already |
