June Painting Competition

Paint a vehicle any size from bikes, tanks, flyers, and walkers.

ALL vehicles welcomed

1st place 10 rep points
2nd place 5 rep points
3rd place 3 rep points

scoring is from 1 - 10, 10 being the higest

overall
detail
fluff
modeling ( how well put together the model is )

All entries must take a pic of your vehicle UNPAINTED ( no exceptions! ) with a date of June 1st or after, and post it in this thread!

best newcomer - new to 40k terra comps or to the site, let us know and you could recieve the best newcomer award - 3 rep points

So you have to build and paint a vehicle... thats not looking good for me... all mine are built but not painted.

Its gonna def narrow my choices down, most of mine are built. I am thinking about entering my Land Raider Conversion Inspired by Dusk Raiders Vindicator Conversion seen in his WIP HERE.

Personally I think we're just giving ourselves more work. A pic of the model unpainted/primed could be enough, as this contest only focusses on the paint-job.

whats wrong with putting a model together? your going to have to do it anyway. besides its a month long comp, doesnt take very long to build and paint a vehicle.

Rellik, I'm not getting into an argument with you about this. I think that since this is a painting contest rather than a conversion comp entrants should not need an unassembled model at the start. They can use a whole new one if they want to, but it should not be the be all and end all of the contest. And by giving them the option of using an existing project rather than buying a new one, we might be able to bring in more contestants. But that's just my opinion.

I'm not sure Ides is talking about the time but rather the availability of brand new vehicles people have. Thats all.

I would be fine with it if I had a vehicle to build, mine are all already built. Not primed but built, but I just wont be able to enter. I respect the rules.

doesnt matter to me if people enter or not, rules are set for a reason, and if anyone doesnt like them then guess what dont enter, if there is just one person who enters and finishes that person gets the first prize. which to me it seems nobody wants to enter then i will and recieve the 15 rep points myself.

tell you guys what since the constant complaining i got about how no one wants to build a new vehicle ill allow assembled vehicles to enter but now im droppping the awards! hope everyone is happy!

You could always start a new one and then paint the other 2 in parallel, then only enter the new one but you'd end up with 3 done.

i'm going to try for this one... not sure how possible pics are gonna be at this moment as i'm 1 camera short of owning any!

Well i think i will have a go at this, got a sentinal thats been staring at me the good part of a year needing a paint job so will be abit of motivation for me

So quick couple of (dumb?) questions. Post piccy in this thread with unpainted sentinal, then? Start a thread of WIP or just post piccy when its done? Thanx in advance

yeah post a pic in this thread with your mini and start date its kinda like your entry fee, its nice to do a WIP but you dont have to, when your done painting start a thread tittled june final entry with your name in it, and then your good to go.
