| Re: Munkey joes contest entry Just a quick update with no pics. I am running into probs with the bike and frame! It looks as if I am going to have to MAKE the bike from scratch and it is taking time. the rider is coming along and i will have some pics up soon of him and the bike I hope. till then, ride long and ride free!

|  Re: Munkey joes contest entry OK OK OK!! Sorry for the lack of updates but its been a hectic month here. But I do have a present for you guys before the grand finale!!! Here is a taste of what will HOPEFULLY come in less than 8 hrs.... I had to scratch build the bike as all the "Space Marine/Ork Hybrids" were not cutting it. Here is the pics of the Bike now:   Now having changed the size of the bike I now have a problem. Kids remember to have scaled models for a reference!!! I made the bike too large for the War Boss that was made, and that War Boss wasn't "BOSS" enough anyway. So here I am Scuplting a new BIG War Boss I hope in the next 8-ish hours!!!  Heres to speed sculpts  and the pics of my prob:Old Boss  New Boss

OK well the last second sculpting was a NIGHTMARE, and a real waste of GS but I at least have a rider model mockup for this bike. The bike is a total build with various 40K bitz and plasticard from a old notebook I had. The only special thing in the bike was the Guitar srings which were "donated" by a musician friend of mine, and solder used for the bike frame. Lessons learned..... 1) ALWAYS use a scale model..... 2) doing a complete resculpt in one night is not good. They are right when they say "sculpt in LAYERS" 3) reguardless of the outcome There are some VERY SKILLED modelers on this site and I must share and learn from them. 4) these type of contests are FUN!!! Good luck to all who entered and for those who didn't.....Why the H3LL NOT???
