Fluff:

Pharnax is a pious and peaceful industrial world in a backwater system in the Ultima Segmentum.
It is one of the few systems in the Imperium that has never known war, a fact that weighs heavily
on its current ruler, the corpulent Lord Gregor Petro.
The Ork waaghs have always been too far away, the Eldar have never been recorded in the area,
pirates have not plagued the system, even the Tyranids have missed his system. The result has
been no opportunities for Lord Petro to achieve glory on the field of battle.
He has tried numerous ways to curry favor withsector command to worm his way into a combat
command, but to no avail. He doubled the size of his defence forces and began a massive armaments
production increase only to see his tithes quadrupled and his troops put in garrissons. He took in
massive numbers of refugees from shattered systems with no acknowledgement of the act
(although the extra population has allowed a huge increase in the mining of the outer worlds). He
even upgraded his system production yards to produce frigates for the Fleet, but to no avail. It looked
like he was doomed to be lost to obscurity as all of his ancestors were.
Recently, however,things have changed. Space Marine srike cruisers have passed thru his domains
as well as several classified Naval convoys. Reports of strange vessels have been logged. And all of
thempoint to one system.

Lord Petro has made discreaet inquiries into the system and has been rebuffed at every turn. He
sees this as an opportunity for greatness too good to pass up.
But he must be cautious. If he just blundered in with several regiments,it could be seen as treason.
A small force, led by a low ranking officer. Sent on a live fire training mission to a nearby gunnery
world. Ships go off course all the time and if they are "accidently" dropped off in a war zone, then
what are they to do? And if HIS forces are engaged against enemies of the Imperium, how could
Sector Command keep him out?
The officer must be chosen with care, not too bright, but competent enough to survive long enough
to call for reinforcements. He must come from a minor house, so he will be eager to take the mission
but expendable if anything goes wrong.
Yes! This could work...
