Adepta Sororitas Only? - 40K Terra

Am I the only person who uses a Witch Hunters army with only the sisters? I mean, I think they kick ass and I do own some of the other stuff like Karamazov, penetint engines, and archos, including some assassins, but I never use them in a game. I find the sisters to be much more effective! Does anybody agree with me?

well i use witch hunters, but only as allies to my marines, and for fluff purposes (hell, the main people in my stories are Sororitas!) but i can see how a pure witch hunter army would be awesome!
6 full squads of Sororitas is 120 girls, and the emperor help you if theyre within 12''. thats 240 bolter shots! ap1 if you pass a faith test ;D
so i can see how you could use the 'metal storm' tactic with Sororitas. however, pure witch hunters has NO long range tank hunting skills. absolutly nothing beyong a multi-melta, so thats y i just use them as allies.
if i was to do a pure witch hunters force, i wouldnt do pure sororitas either. i like doing stuff thats out of the ordinary with my armies, such as witch hunter allies! or jetbike heavy eldar. stuff like that. (i get it from my friend...pink tau ^_^ anyhoo...)
so yea i would use pentiant engines and archo's and perhaps an orbital bombardment to spice things up a bit!

pure sisters armies are a fairly popular tourny army... (actually it's about the only inquisition force that shows up anymore!)

they have good rules that can be highly abused if you know how-to, and thus they can rank fairly well against most other gimmicky armies.
the one place they do fall down a bit is a lack of long-ranged anti-tank. (beyond the exorcist!)

Well I played a sisters army for a long while and I think that they did best alone. The more sisters you have the more faith points you can have. And lets face it, those points are worth the world

Right now I use pure sisters, but I think that they are right on when they say there is no range. I need to add some tanks and other stuff for help.

I've been thinking about getting a sisters army. (A seraphim squad would be my sneaky anti-tank tactic)

I started out just writing lists where they're allied to IG or something but lately my tactic and conversion ideas have been going almost all SoB.
(Does anyone else think the single hair style is a bit monotonous, I'll have to get good at GSing extensions.

a pair of exorcists will solve alot of problems!

fast units like seraphim & rhino/immolator born squads can also help quickly close the distance for you...
actually, one of the nastiest units in a sisters army would be a dominion squad with 4 flamers under the power of 'devine guidance'.

even termies die in droves to that one!

retributors w/4 heavy bolters are probably the best long-ranged anti-infantry unit available to the sisters... sadly, their numbers are limited as you'll want those heavy slots for the exorcists.

yeah, i think at least some should have an escher feel to them (as they are orphans, and were does the inquisition find most of its orphans? the underhive thats where.

My use of SoB with WH is like my use of GK with DH.
there's more of the former than the latter.
Much more.

In fact the majority is all chamber-militant with a few inquisition peeps thrown in for fun.

I still feel that the sister work best alone, I have not been impressed by the oclisiarchy with penitent engines or with arcos! Sisters are better choices in my experiences.

Often true, but i feel i NEED to include some engines and acros because they look so gosh darn cool.

But if you wanted to be beardy, i've seen pure-sisters forces do some NASTY things, even more so with all the faith-point-involved-cool-stuff thrown in. (Canoness winning VS a ghargantuan squiggoth in 1v1 CC for example)

Each to his own is what I say! You want some non sisters in your armies, than put other stuff in! I am a purist when it comes to sisters!

i agree, the sisters are totally best pure. i play them fairly competitively. i love my girls...i am thinking of adding GK and some IST's to make a big strike force for apocalypse though...then again with money and time running short it may be a while.

a jump cannoness, 1 celestine squad, 2 rhino sisters, seraphim, 2 exorcists, i have challenged and beaten many more skilled and better lists than mine with much more skilled players and have drawed closely or won.

I have also been thinking about adding a sisters army,but i have a feeling i should wait till the new codex comes out and maybe some new plastic models.It would be my just my luck to by a bunch of metal and then they come out with plastic.
