Default help with sisters

well other thn those who have already posted to this in annother thread.
does anyone here know of a wheakness with sisters/ whichhunters. I loose to my friends sisters a lot and want a way to finally seal a win for my mutated rat clan (IG modification see pics in IG forum) sorry I "gaurdie" is invading your threads but any help you can provide would be most useful

They are pretty short ranged...I don't have much experience fighting them but I think that a static gun line is a no-no because of all the flamer, melta, fire death they can bring to the table.

your big advantage is that you have a 48" - 36" engagment range with your autocannon & heavy bolters. make sure that all your infantry squads have either of those for a heavy weapon! in fact, adding in a pair of anti-infantry squads w/3 autocannons + sharpshooters gives you 2 squads which can;
a) concentrate 1st on the enemy's transports.
b) support the infantry in killing off weakened squads and/or picking on the sisters T3 IC's! (who will be instantly killed by the S7 autocannon!)

above all else though, you must;
a) not allow the sister's transports to survive past turn 1! they need to get close to hurt you. keep them at a distance and they suffer as while their bolters go through you, you still have numbers whereas they don't!
b) DESTROY THE EXORCISTS! S8 ap1 means they can and will always cause penetrating hit against your armoured units. these need to die fast! the good news is that the exorcist needs line of sight, so if it's shooting you, then you should be able to point some lascannons or rocket launchers back at it!

also, beware the sisters acts of faith! for example, they can add +2 to their strength for an inititive penalty in return... the seraphim have 'hit and run' and thus can jump from out of nowhere, kill, and then hop back beyond your reach... repentia while always striking at I1, will instantly kill any infantry they hit other than ogryns... celestians are pure nasty... a canonness can take a +2S master-crafted power toy and an inferno pistol which is basically a meltagun which can also rapid fire if she stands still!

i find that you have to engage them in close combat to be effective, but don't under estimate those elite cc units. arcoflaglents will kill a 10 man squad of terminators with little to no problem. and the sister repentia's all have chainfist striking at int1 but str6 and power weapon.

of corse, it's always worth the laugh when your opponent rolls four or five 6's for his attacks with the arcos which pretty much wipes them out too!

if you see arcos, try throwing a cheap sacrifical unit at them to prompt some 6's as they do have that 4+ invulnerable save.
or else, ally a daemonhunter inquisitor w/psycannon to simply bypass their save altogether!

Stich covered most of it... I will add in the fact that Pie Plates of Doom will mess them up something fierce. I would go with as many Troops as possible with as many Autocannon and Missle Launchers as you can throw down. Don't bother with Wargear for Serg or Officers and if you take Lemon Russ just give them the H. Bolters and nothing else. Keep your points down on everything so that you can fit in more stuff.

Don't shoot transports, they have delicious cake inside and want to share.

The fact that both your armies are at war is just a huge misunderstanding Im sure lol. Look on the bright side.. If the Inquisition is there, its always the other guy's fault

if the inqisition where here they would kill everyone to be safe. simmilar to how the inquisition is about to exicute everyone in my army because im fighting chaos. cant take any chances. this brings a question I saw on annother forum up. can the inquisition tell u kids love cinniman toast crunch?

no, the inqusition has only determined that the language of the rice krispy's is a rough form of necrotyr. the questions of the toast crunch have not been addressed.
