| Oh...oh...oh...OH YEAH. Loads. Fun times again. My friends will now know fear. Ahem. Blink blink. Sorry, still a little tipsy. But yeah, Seraphrim will have more of a tactical advantage again. Yes, hit and run got a lil nerf, but I like it better somehow. In the good times, I'll be able to deep strike behind enemy lines, usually where most people keep their long range tanks, and I can kill them, or they'll take forces off their front lines to kill me. Either way, its a win-win situation for me. (In most of my games the seraphrim die, I use them as a suicide force in various little squads of 5.) In the dark times, where jump packs can't deep strike, and I have to set them up with the rest of my army...times were kinda maybe but not really tough. They became a re-actionary force, flying with my 12 inch moving immolators, armed with inferno pistols to have a chance of taking something nasty out. Big squads became the better as 10+ models now. They still rocked, don't get me wrong. It just isn't ME. I modeled my seraphrim so they look like they're flying, they have melta bombs, they're suppose to be wild, do anything craziness. Being sane, being in large unit, it just....not right Last edited by Seath_Tt; 07-13-2008 at 10:59 AM. |

| Oh, sorry if I wasn't clear. From my experiences, deep striking units are best when they are small. So I go with two or three squads of 5 armed with melta bombs ( In case of accidents, I love the new deep strike table, my friends are drooling over the chance to move my seraphim around lol). This makes is easy to pull up the invulnerable save with spirit of the martyr. When they are forced to set up with the army (when deep strike is not in play) I find them best in squads of 10 or more, armed with inferno pistols and easy to bring up Divine guidance. But that style of play never really fit with me. I've always imagine seraphim to be like Top Gun Pilots, no fear of danger, eager to rush or jump in to do anything, completely wild. So I prefer them with deep strike in small squads. ^ ^ |

rahter effective too when it works...the new mishap table is also a blessing as no i only lose the entire squad 33% of the time to landing within 1" of the enemy... typically i've been getting the 'opponent may deploy your unit' or occasionally the 'unit goes back into reserve' results. i have yet to lose a single unit to a deep strike mishap in 5th edition! cheers!
