Default Ordo Germinatus Tacitum

I thought I'd put up somewhat of my rather large if predominantly unfinished Adepta Sororitas. Most of these I got in trade or as gifts from other folk so the army is quite huge. I played World Eaters almost exclusively for a long time and while, only playing Sisters much recently.

The name for them I came up before I ran into Sabretooth Games and their depictions of the Sisters of Silence, without realizing that such an order had existed Pre-Heresy. I had thought of changing their name but decide since I already had some painted and some of their background worked up, I'd leave them as they are.

They use sub-vocalized vox communications and hand-arm signals, fighting entirely in absolute silence, or so it seems to others. This is in honor of one of their Sisters who kept her silence under excruciating torture at the hands of foul Slaaneshi traitors. I'll post the writeup outline such as it is if people are interested.

They were once part of the Ebon Chalice, but time and distance, along with circumstance eventually saw them become their own minor Order. They work closely with the Ordo Hereticus.

I don't use Inquisitors, or should say, I haven't yet, preferring a pure Sisters army.

Inquisitrix and retinue of 2 Warriors, a Sister Dialogous, and Sister Hospitaler, sometimes Drones to boot.

Land Raider Prometheus

A squad of female Inquisitorial Storm Troopers.

A Callidus Assassin and a pair of Death Cult Assassins.

1 Throne of Judgement

****

Canoness, sometimes with retinue and Immolator.

1 squad of 10 Celestians mounted in a Rhino

1 squad of 10 Sisters Repentia

13 squads of 10 Battle Sisters with Rhinos

2 squads of Dominions in Immolators

4 squads of 10 Seraphim

4 squads of Retributors with Immolators

3 Penitent Engines

4 Exorcist launchers

Saint Thomasine

I'm probably missing something out and it is too early and I'm too lazy to go look.

Of this force only about 1500 points are painted. They use black armor and grey habits with red lining. The housings of their bolters are white. Their standard is the face of a haloed battle sister (Saint Thomasine) with a finger held before her lips although otherwise they have no insignia, mainly because I haven't yet figured out what insignia to use. LOL

Very much a work in progress, although the more I have played with them, the more I like them.

I went and got them from their storage place today so I reckon a few pics can be seen in a couple of days or so. Stay tuned.

I put a couple of pictures of my Canoness and a VSS on my photobucket album;

Col_Taarna - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

They are in the sub-album Sisterhood_of_Silence. I'll see about getting some more up later.

Is that a 1/35 Panzer III? If so, I'm gonna build an Armored Company.

LOL No, that's a Panzer III made entirely from parts from one Chimera and one Leman Russ with some scratchbuild bits added in. It represents a Conqueror tank for the 7th Tarakian Armored Division. The Panzer IV version has a lengthened and widened hull along with a few other modifications...and it represents the standard Russ as well as the Vanquisher. I don't have any pics of the latter one yet, but they'll come in time.

You can keep up to date on that on as well as the Sisters. I thought I was going to save a lot of money by using 1/35 scale Panzers, and now I'm gonna have to spend more, because you have a brilliant idea. It looks a LOT like a Panzer III, I can't wait to see your IV.

BTW, I should have guessed. COL Taarna, Tarakian Armored Division. I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers one of the greatest animated features of all time. What great music. Much better than the sequel piece o' crap.

You can find the tutorial by Kasrkin here: StuG/Russ Conversion Guide! (pic heavy) - WarSeer

That's where I got the idea; I've just gone a bit further by making different tanks based on it. Most of mine are based on the Panzer IV chassis...including the StuGIV as the laser tank destroyer.

Yep, the original Heavy Metal was an awesome thing to watch. You're the second one to pick up on that. I even use the dagger and moon insignia for my Armored Division.

Thanks for the link Sis. Between your photos and those, and my love of German WW2 armor, I should be able to revolutionize my army. (I play WH, and Tallarn inducted Guard, so anything is possible, with the right fluff.) Thanks again.
