| you have a good, balanced force here, but 2 questions about the celestians. are they armed with close combat weapons and boltpistols? if not, do that. they are one of the few SoB units with WS 4 and you should take advantage of that. you have close ranged weapons on them anyway. and the other thing, is the power pistol on the vet. sister? if so, you cant do that. eviscerators are 2h. same with the cannoness. but on the canoness, you wouldnt want a plasma pistol anyway because a stray one when firing could wound or kill her. with the retributor squad, i would give the vet. sister a stormbolter. you can buy them from the armory, and because she is in a fire-support squad anyway, the close combat weaponry wont do much good. when you plan on expanding, i would get an inquisitor w/ gun servitors, an assasin, and a dominion squad with an immolator transport with melta guns and multi-melta on the immolator. right now, you dont have much anti-tank which isnt a problem in such a small point game but in 2k people generally expand with tanks. |

| Models with access to the armoury can take one two-handed weapon and one one-handed weapon. I get no bonus for having two weapons, but the ability to shoot a terminator before charging him and having a good chance of the shot sticking is too good to pass up. After all, she is ballistic skill 5 and has a 2+ armour save. I agree with you about the celestians, but there is no option listed for them in the codex giving them the choice of bolter or bolt pistol and ccw. Not only are they ws 4, but they have holy hatred and always hit on 3's regardless of respective weapon skills (Characters, Monstrous Creatures and Vehicles that don't have a weapon skill excepter.) They would make a great ccw squad othrwise, Although, 8 more Sister Superior models at 10 bucks a piece is a bit much for one squad, and they are metal, and beyond my ability to convrt. The thought about the Retributor squad is a great one, I already have the model and it fits well with my general strategy of trying to only add things to squads which help them do their job better. If a retributor is in need of a CCW, I have already screwed up something. Last edited by rintinglen; 03-02-2007 at 01:03 AM. |
