| Extremis Diabolus ![]() ![]() | My friend is attempting to create a Sister of Battle army for next year's Adepticon tournament. If anyone reviewing this has never been to Adepticon, here's how the tournament armies work: there are four member to a team. Each member has a 1000 point army. The restrictions for the army are as follows: 1 HQ 2-3 Troops 0-1 Elites 0-1 Fast Attack 0-1 Heavy Support. In addition, between the team, there is a "floating" Elite, Fast Attack, and Heavy Support choice. This means that one army may have an additional Elites, Fast Attack, and/or Heavy Support. Normally these are spread out. Basically, when any two 1000 point armies are combined, these restrictions ensure that the combined army does not violate the Force Organization Chart. So, my friend wants to make it all Sisters. I tried making a list so that I could give him advice, but it ended up being closer to 1500 points! So, please help me trim down the list and make suggestions about including/removing certain choices. That being said, are Sisters Repentia and Seraphim worth it? My friend really likes them (though he has not actually played with anything but Tau yet) and will want to include them both (or at least one). But if either are not worth it, I'll break the news to him. So here's what I have: Canoness: Storm Bolter, Power Weapon (65) 5 Celestians: Veteran Superior w/ Storm Bolter, Heavy Flamer, Flamer, Imagifier, Immolator, Dozer Blade, Extra Armour (203) 9 Sisters Repentia + Mistress: Priest (250) 10 Battle Sisters: Veteran Superior, 2 Meltaguns, Rhino w/ Smoke, Extra Armour (207) 10 Battle Sisters: Vetern Superior, 2 Flamers, Rhino w/ Smoke, Extra Armour (199) 10 Seraphim: Veteran Superior, 2 dual Inferno Pistols (260) 5 Retributors: Veteran Superior, 4 Heavy Bolters (129) Exorcist: Extra Armour (145) Total: 1458 I think the Retributors and Celestians could come out (that would be freeing up the extra Heavy Support choice, too), and the Canoness could go with one of the Battle Sister Squads (removing one sister so they could still fit in the Rhino). And as much as it would pain my friend, either the Seraphim or the Repentia, too. Which might leave just enough room for a lightly-armed Inquisitor and 3 warriors with Heavy Bolters to make up for the Retributors... I'll post a modified list after a few responses.

| Well, the post is old, but I'll give my two cents. I haven't been able to get my points back with the repentia, and from what I've read on the board, they are seem as the one of the weaker units of a pure sister force. I would not remove the seraphim. They are pure gold, nice & shiny. They are THE unit for the battle sisters. A lot of my friends feel that they are way too cheap/broken. Twin link pistols (also getting an extra attack in CC), Hit and run, the whole unit is faithful ^ ^, and they roll 3 dice and pick what ever when rolling for said faith (if you have a Vet). They rock in CC, they can whack tanks, they can whack pretty much anything. I could go on....I have never heard of a sister player talking bad about them. Canoness can be mean on her own, a lot of people give her a jump pack and a blessed weapon; since she's an independent character, she just rolls her LD for faith tests, so she can pull off some wicked combos. I tend to give her a melta to help out with tank bashing since she has a nice BS stat. Though I would sometimes put her with the troops to give'em more of a punch. I just started using the Heavy Bolter retributors and I have fallen in love with them. I would rather go with them than the Canoness Celestian squad. ---- In a nut shell, if you need to drop, I would go with repentia & celestians. That'll take off 453, so that'll leave another 5 to shave off which I'm sure you could find ^ ^ |

| i would agree with the above statement. though i would consider dropping the extra armour on you exorcist. my opinion is if your tank is in the open to get shot then you have made a serious tactical error. but that is just my two cents.
