Steve - 3 this, could have been higher and maybe deserves it, but the two above entries have been panted to a high standard, i have to take that into account.

BvL Lord Marcus - 3 I LOVE the blood work on this. while the model unpainted was Meh... You surprised me with this blood buddy!!! I want this recipie for it!! Good job this week bud!!! Baron Von Lexus - 2 Do me a HUGE favor and PM me a pic with a SM or reg Guardsman if you can for a scale comp. I have been looking for a smaller frame for chimeras and tanks for my Ratling army and I think it fits the bill.....My hands and fingers thank you! The paint job is awesome, and I think It looks as if it was plowing through enemy and debris to get to its mission Spartan 11755 - 5 You web cam is killin you brother!! I can see something of what is going on but not a lot, but it looked as if a marine had a gut wound. If the pic was better I think you would have done much better..... (but you have givin' me and Idea.....?!!?) Liveevil2000 - 1 You have a very nice battle damaged marine and the paint, while not required, looks nice. my fave is the helmet!!! Steve - 4 It is nice, and looks like an "easy bake Guardsman" LOL you took a Melta and just cooked a sent. I have a Dread almost as bad that was too close to the toaster oven. Im not sure about the laser on it (I think it would explode) and if you were to put some bullet holes and such on it I think it would be better. Once again though you are FAST!!!

| Re: Weekend Challenge 2 VOTING 1st - liveevil, nice job man 2nd- Steve, would have been first if it was a bit more broken-ish. 3rd- Marcus, if you would have perhaps cut up the torso and the arm pieces I would have definitely given it first. 4th- Spartan, Cant really tell because of the bad pic but I'm sure its good in person. And I had no idea you didnt have to paint it. But at least this way I got something done that has needed to be done for a year or so. Mukey just watch for a pic in my WIP for the finished model with crew for comparison. BvL

It is really difficult to see what is going on in the pic.

Keep them coming Baron Von Lexus - 2 It looks great, but my only gripe is that it's just painted damage that I can see... Sorry man... (although I don't blame you for not hacking up a beautiful FW model). Spartan 11755 - 5 - I can't apply a vote to this as I can't see. Liveevil2000 - 1 Looks great. Can't fault it. If I had to get some critique in... then it would be to add scorch marks around the blast hoes. Steve - 4 I have to agree with Mart, I think it probable deserves to be higher. I think it's that I imagine a melta would do more damage than just buckling the framework. I was expecting more molten metal... something that could have been brought out with painting.

My comments are to be taken as 2 cents and not worth much more than that. 1)Lord Marcus's "I Tried To Catch The Missle And Failed" - I loved the blood splatter. The only thing missing are the guts hanging out everywhere (green stuff!). If you would have done that, then I would have voted for it above my own (I'm partial to my work, cant help it) 2)Baron Von Lexus' Damaged DKoK Centaur - This was tough. I would have marked it as #1 if it had a metal gouge or crack in the armor (I love that stuff). 3)Steve Berenyi's IG Sentinel Hit By Melta Blast - MORE DAMAGE! Hit by a melta, I imagine it would make a mess of things. Broken up armor, cracks, holes! Something that would scream "WHAT THE F*$%@!" 4)Spartan-11755's Battle Damaged Marine - I wish you would have taken a better pic. Hard to tell. Great work by all. I can see I will be pushed to the limits on these comps. Good, I like it! |
