ok so i played a legue game today vs this younger guy. my Cryx vs his Trollbloods. my list was

was a wierd sinario i didnt quit understand cause i realy didnt get a chance to read it. had to build a model befor the gae stated so i was rushing. so the game comences a few rounds in im taking a beating but manuvering my caster and troops for a nice assasination his turn he makes a misstake and want to go back to his casters activation after he had already moved onto othe activations to pop her feet. i wasnt gonna let him but i figured id be nice and freindly seing as its the first time i ever played him so i let him. round goes around i survives her feet round and get my assasination set up for my next turn at the beginning of my turn he goes i win... im like huh? he says you need to have a model in 4 ince of the thold line. i had moved my pistol wraith 5 incehs from it, i said hey i didnt realize i had to stay 4 inches of it or i would have not moved that far , he said to bad i win sory. even after i was freindly and let him pop his feet after he made the mistake he wouldnt give me the 1 inch back of movment, just because he knew he was dead next turn. so frustrated!

It's a dick move, but when it comes down to win or loose, I can see where he's coming from. You were nice, and he should have been too... But it sounds like your mistake was make-or-break, and his wasn't (I don't know the system, so I might be wrong).

My philosophy on this is simple: I usually point it out to the guy when he does the mistake. However, that's being overly nice. Some people believe you should know your rules back to front before you play. I'm that way, but not to such an asinine degree.

Whoa, that sucks GG. Next time don't be so nice. I would never be nice to a first time opponet, unless it's a friend, and still, I'm not holding back the first game. I'd say the only time you help out like that is when a friend is trying to learn the game, but thrash them first, really makes them wanna beat you next time, and they'll listen to you better! No mercy next time!

Got screwed? Yes! Warmachine and warhammer are 2 vey different games, and as i am very fun to play as an opponent, I am also very strict when it come to rules. Sometimes it does not pay to be nice, so that is why I make sure I know what my game objective is. He should have atleast asked you as you were moving pistol wraith if you were aware of the objective. Also you should have reminded him of your fair play when allowing him to move out of sequence. That really was a pu--y move on his part.

yeah i admit i should have rememberd the sinario better or asked, it was in part my fault but still it was the unsportsmanlike nature of how it ended that burned me. and that wasnt the only mistake he made that he wanted corected well after the fact witch i allowed. i play for fun. it comes down to he had lost his first 2 games and wanted to win and was to young to understand the moral implications. ( though at 16 or so that shouldnt be the case). anyhoo hopefully i win today.
