Well okay here goes,

I plan just to get 1000pts done first as im busy with a couple other projects as well but i now have a slightly better camera even if it is my phone cam.

May's Monthly Goals:

1) Assemble Mephiston Counts as
2) Paint Mephiston Counts as
3) Paint Lemartes Counts as

Not too much to start with but when i get into full swing it will be mental so be warned!

good start Petey imo - when i do the characters for my army i will focus heavily on them to the exclusion of other goals - it is the characters that stand out in an army, so taking extra time on them is acceptable here so don't be concerned that it isn't "much to start with".

what else will you be painting for this army?

well i kinda have a few bits and bobs done already but i have these to paint/build/buy

10 man tactical squad
Baal Pred x2
half a 10 man tac squad
6 man Veteran Assault Squad
Chaplain w/ Jump pack

not much but starting small always helps

well i have finished my lemartes counts as so that will have piccys soon.

Started on Mephiston and can't decide between giving the model the book thingy (librarian model with staff and book) or a plasma pistol, now with mephiston it screams plasma pistol but i like the book and really can't decide.

any help?

was your list not harsh enough without your baal predators and harsh harsh characters? will you leave my poor space puupies alone and stop rending them please?
anyway.....good start. but one question. why only 1000pts when you already have a huge BA army?

well if you havn't noticed im replacing the models that dont look to good so i have to replace nearly the whole army, stripping them is out of the question as i did these when i was err........13 i think. I was new to 40k then and just splodged red on them so i could play.

I could stop rending your space puppies but then i'd have no fun, seeing a space puppie dance is fun
I will try and get some pictures up for those who havn't replied as they be waiting for pics which one person comes to mind (hairy?) hehe. I will need to save some monies so as i can buy the bits i need for next month.

Gaming wise this army is great, ever seen a rhino kill a warboss? mine did, ran the bugger over

Im intrigued on the state of marine armies at the moment as 5th could have anything BUT i know a guy who has it on pdf but he wont talk or give the greedy so and so.

Good news everyone, i am stood at the top of a wall lokking down at completion, Lemartes is finally done as he chipped and needed touching up and everything. i have also started mephiston counts as which is halfway there, will have pictures up soon i hope.

Well just let me dust off this here thread...... WAIT this is my log!
whoops.

Anyway i have made considerable progress with the Dread and Baal Pred but they are a few hours away from finish (by a few i mean around 3-4 days worth).

Ahhh Pics, how i wish i had them but i am looking for a camera atm so it shouldn't be too long now. Sorry guys but im am trying and i know that hairy won't touch this thread with a barge pole until the pics arrive.

well good news everyone,

i am now gonna ask Captain Slow if i can le borrow his camera as im tired of not having pics.
For now though i will give you eveil nasty but blurry pics:

These pictures seriously dont do the models credit. well maybe the dreadnought but his sarcophagus looks better as does his base.
I will try to get better pictures up on wednesday via Captain Slows Camera but im not promising they'll be the greatest in the world. BUT hey at least you can gawp at what i have been upto for all of 5 seconds.

Also i forgot to photograph the baal he is now finished but isnt getting a horrible blurry picture, he'll get a proper picture on wednesday i hope.

July 2008 Goals

-Paint 15 Crimson fists for friend (shut up i know its not the army but i havnt got enough money and im getting money for these.)
-Build 15 Crimson Fists
-Get pictures of Crimson fists

I may get around to more of my own models soon, at least i hope so.

I know that the pictures goal isnt listed but with me it is a goal so like it or lump it, get it good.

well it will be for another tactical squad but dont worry i have a Brother Corbulo lined up for you Nick, you'll like him Or maybe some terminators hmmm choices. Im thinking of getting another predator or a vindicator or a land raider for the lulz. Or an attack bike or 2 SO MANY CHOICES SO LITTLE MONIES.

not termies. youve already got DC as a harsh combat squad what can termies give you? attack bikes give you fast moving heavy weapons. go for them. also give thesergeant a powerfist and meltabombs. for lulz.

no sergeant with attack bike squadron i may buy them eventually but i think termies are the top of my list after the tactical squad.

pointless. the new codex will probably get rid of two heavy weapons so you cant take 2 asphalt cannons and you already have an uber combat squad which is nearly free. why fork out more money and points? attack bikes. turbo boosting heavy weapons. not in the same turn obviously.

Nah the termies will be a retinue for a captain in terminator armour and will be a good showpiece of the army. i plan on a vindicator and a 10-man scout squad but a money issue is demolishing most idea's i have.

Hehe 10 scouts with shotguns = Ownage

Although a whirlwind would be fun to have ill probably end up getting a whirly and a vindy as well as the termies.
