Phil's TOXG thread - 40K Terra

Right so, my army will be a 1000pt death korp grenadier list.

I may not be able to finish the list until next week as I've got work experience in Aston Martin this week.

The main idea is 4x 5 men squads and a pair of cyclops demo vehicles, a pair of assault tanks (these will likely be 1/35 scale wwII german vehicles, if that's alright with you guy's) if not iv'e got a pair of russes.

won't start work until the first grenadier squad arrives.

are you planning on doing any modifications to the WWII kits phil? kinda 40k them up a bit?

hmm looked kinda small for a 1/35... but its cool and makes a prefect assault gun for Krieg just like it did for the Germans.

I thought about that conversion as well but I decided to go with the Karl. Though now that I have a place to get a Hummel that will definitely factor in to my army as SP Artillery.

Honestly it really depends on the tank. I mean you can pull off both but its really about what you are going for. Larger Tanks like say a Tiger or King Tiger in 1/35 will be bigger and almost Super Heavy size while say a 1/35 scout car will be perfect size. 1/48 will be a tad small for 40k but you can still pull it off. My Stug III is 1/48 and its a bit bigger than a Centaur. But I wanted it small-ish and low profile. Really you have to experiment with different kits to get the best results.

So in summary either will work but try both.

thanks , I might try a 1/48 stug actually because manouvering mine in astreet fight is impossible.
