Blog Entries: 3  |  SIGNUP & Info: Tale of X Gamers (TOXG) The Tale of 'X' Gamers (TOXG) IF YOU HAVE AN EXISTING ARMY - IT IS FINE. HOWEVER ALL WORK DONE PREVIOUS TO THIS EVENT DOES NOT COUNT. ONLY THE WORK DONE IN THIS EVENT WILL. This is a new yearly event that is designed for members to get their brushes and hobby knives out on! The objective is to paint a full army up by the end of the year for either Warhammer 40k (WH40k) or Warhammer Fantasy (WHFB). Objective: Paint an army by the end of 2008. (Either a Warhammer 40k or Warhammer Fantasy Army) You can choose any weight category to accomplish. Light Weight - 1000 points Medium Weight- 1500 points Heavy Weight - 2000 points At the end of the year - all completed armies will submitted into the 2008 40kTerra army of the year nomination. Rewards: -You get a 1000,or 1500, 2000 point army done. -You get kudos & recognition from others. -You will get nominated for 2008 Army of the Year -You will get + Reputation -You will get + Imperial Credits -Your entry will be immortalized in the 2008 Army of the Year - Hall of Fame. 2008 Army of the Year Contest: Top army in each pts. category will be rewarded handsomely, with separate prizes going to other nominees in each bracket. All participants/nominees will also be awarded. *Qualify for the end of the year "Tale of 'X' Gamer Awards". Rules: -To keep everyone fair you may paint NO MORE THAN the following: 1 HQ, 3 infantry squads a month, 2 tanks/flyers/skimmers, or 1 superheavy. If you have a question if something is permissible, just ask! -You will be assigned a 'Coach' of sorts. They will take the role of approving the tasks you set for each month, recording your progress, and in general being a mentor and source of advice. We are currently recruiting experienced hobby veterans to help fill these roles. PM me for details. -At the end of each month the entrant will be responsible for submitting 3 goals for the following month. These can range from converting/assembling a squad, basing a squad, painting a tank, wiring it with LEDs, etc.. One of these goals, after the first month, however, MUST be painting related. Goals Requirements:
(This is the Minimum, you can do as much goals as you want. You MUST complete 3 however in the end)You will submit the goals the week prior to the new month to your Coach via PM or whatever method you two choose, and your Coach will approve them and add on a 'bonus goal' for you to strive. If you have one of your goals being to convert a squad, a common bonus one might be to basecoat or paint the squad as well! Lazy Man's-Pass: We understand that people have personal outside lives, and they encounter things that just simply makes them... busy...-You may skip Three challenges set for you by yourself or that your 'Coach' issues. However it is in your best interest to meet your points by the end of the year to qualify*. Notice, the last submission date is December 31st, 2008. You can skip one month and still be fine. If you skip two months, you might have to make it up. If you skip three months, well you will have to crack down then painting won't ya! To use a Lazy Man's Pass, simply post up a notice in your thread. We will try to get an image for you to post representing the pass. Submission Rules: (NO EXCEPTIONS - Failure to comply will result in a strike.) -To enter the comp, you must reply to this thread, stating your username, army type, army name, and pts. value.. For instance.. Lord Commander Erus - Space Marines (Blood Angels) - Black Saints - 1.5K - At the start of EVERY month, you must show

However what with being away half of July and the first week+1/2 of August, I'll not only suffer some set-back early on, but I'll be back at Uni mid-September as well.
