| Lets put it this way, DP gets wings and a mark in Craptacular bland Chaos Dex V4 in Chaos Daemons, its got like 12 different upgrades, more proof Chaos Marines got an unnecessary shaft.

Ya... they get crap daemons. BUT GW has already stated that they wanted to break up the Chaos armies into multiple armies (because well... it'd be a bit unfair to have LATD, Daemons, and CSM in one codex, no?). Ya... CSM lost all those really coolio legions and legion players got really annoyed, but GW has stated that they do plan to make a Codex: Chaos Legions or something or other... we just have to wait! (until then, HOUSE RULES!). To be honest, the only people who lost out a lot with removal of the legion rules were: powergamers and tourney players. Casual, fluffy, players can easily import rules from the 3rd Codex or make up your own.

| The Witchhunter ![]() | once more you need to remember that the 4th ed CSM codex is for Chaos Renegade Chapters, not Legions - it is fair to say that a DP in a Legion Codex will be superior to that of the C:CSM version.you must remember that the Legions are not only older than Chaos Chapters, but are also more powerful therefore it stands to reason that a Legion DP is more likely to be more powerful and have more favour which translates to better abilities and gifts. furher more, DPs that appear alongside the Daemon Armies rather than Marine armies are even more favoured - they have been chosen to actually fight with the manifestions of the gods rather than the followers of the gods - they may also be far older than the Legions - think back to the 2nd ed special character DPS, or may even have originated froma different race entirely. |

| ^ I HIGHLY doubt they will do CSML any justice, first off I'm already making speculations about a so called "legion" dex down the line. If the current dex is only for representing Renegades, why does it talk so much about the exploits of the Traitor legions? Surely a Renegade chaos marine codex would be filled with endless exploits of Naughty space marine chapters instead of the earthbreaking endeavors of the fallen 9 Legions of Horus. Why also would it in fact mention Legions at all? Especially in a codex for renegades. I hope they do in fact not make any traitor legion dexes, if they can't do it properly they shouldnt do it at all.

Blog Entries: 1 | Thats an awfully sour attitude. I'd much rather have GW come out with a crappy codex (Which they haven't ever done in the past anyway) for the legions then do nothing. At least that would show that they care, besides a crap 'Dex can always be fixed later down the line.

| Your words hold truth, but since when has GW cared about their lesser known fans? Or given them fanservice for that matter? The Legions are gone, reconstituted into apocalypse PDFs and given the same attention as Imperial guard codexes. Even if they did, expect to see that Dex' in 3~5 years when NO ONE CARES. I'm very disappointed with new codexes, sure they are streamlined for easier play, but where is the variety? Codex Chaos marines for example, your choices are: -A lash prince x2 or Lords with blissgivers -Mass thousand son spam And maybe some khorne cult marines. Several armies were invalidated and nerfed horribly, unnecesarily, raped of their variety that made them appealing. And I'm even more mad that I've seen glimpses and rumors of the new SM codex, which took variety and replaced it with minimal creativity. (Rumors can at this point can be considered fact, has it been wrong?) All in all, they are bartering for playability and rules so simple strategy is at a loss in order to forgoe anything deemed creative and slightly abusable.

| Sergeant ![]() | The difference is that the CSM Daemon Prince is an ascended mortal - whereas the Chaos Daemons Daemon Prince is either a much longer established ascended mortal, or a highly favoured daemon.

| Corporal ![]() ![]() | I dunno, I'm happy with the new Plague Marines. Granted, I miss god specific vehicle upgrades, my Cult Terminators, Havocs, real daemons, etc. etc.... but you adapt and move on. I'm sure if they do a Legion specific codex, they'll do it right and fair.

| I wasn't worried about how much I can kit my marines so they can win, I just liked having the option to choose what I wanted and have actual variety in my choices. Now its spelled out to you, as if it couldn't be simple enough, what you can have. noise marine champion modeled with a Plasma pistol? Well thats a no go! Oblits armed with heavy bolters and assault cannons? Well we took that away! Possessed? HAH! we just wanted you to squirm!

By that justification, wouldn't Chaos Space marines with 10,000 or more years in service to the Dark Gods be favored as much then? Cuz I know for damn sure there will be no legions dex, not at least until we boycott to get what we want if anyone has the spine to stand up to GW like I will and set them down to rethink their methods. Oh, and I don't mean you are spineless Heroka, and I'm not attacking you either i'm just mad about all this extra creativity going through a strainer.
