Hasslefree's "Dionne, Werewolf Hunter", is one of my favourite ever miniatures. She's small and delicate and yet looks like she could kick so much arse all over the place. I was really pleased with how her face turned out, and with the worn effect on the tarmac and road markings.

You know, it's just struck me how perfectly this gun could represent a Shotgun Pistol (just got DH Inquisitors Handbook yesturday).

'Tis for sale.

In other news, I've finally got back to those Necrons. I've actually finished two of them completely with the other two nearly done - I've also ordered another 8 Warriors, which will allow me to finish Red Squad and start on Blue Squad.

Here's a pic of one of the finished ones:



The line down his face is the squad marking. He's got pale grey shoulder blades, too, which you can't see in this image. I might add squad markings to the blades in due course.

I do intend to paint the energy cell in the weapon in due course, but for the moment this is as far as I intend to go with each Warrior until all four squads are finished.

The base has a deliberate reddy-orange tint due to the alleged planet of origin of this particular army.

I may have to play a Lazy Man's Pass at some point in the next three months, although it won't - I assure you - be a result of laziness. I've received a new commission. Another 54mm piece, and I'm very excited about getting started - just waiting for the client to comment on the preliminary sketches.

Ok, breaking radio silence for a chance to brag about my luck today.

I dropped into my local GW for a pot of Skull White (I buy about one new pot of paint every week) and spotted a Necron Lord lying on the counter.

"Why's there a Necron Lord on the counter?" I asked the Deputy Manager.

"No idea," he replied. "Probably from a faulty blister. Do you want it?"

"Don't mind if I do," I replied.

One free Necron Lord. Thank you very much.
