I invested in a 500G external drive for my puter as my 200G internal drive was grinding to a halt with all the music!

Sometimes its hard to choose what to play! But so long as its Metal I dont mind

Externals are all <5.4k RPM unless you're paying good money, though there's probably a few good 7.2k RPM's out by now.
And of course I prefer my 10k RPM 150GB raptor to anything else on the market ;P

Oh and there's Punk-metal and Goth-Metal? WTH are those?!
(And Goths FTL. Punk > Goth yay!)

I find myself listening to Alternative more and more these days... (BRING BACK NICKLEBACK! but none of their new stuff. Much too overplayed their new songs are)

I don`t store on a HDD for more than 2 weeks unless i`m willing to lose it :P

I`m building a DVD collection at the moment

Why? one might ask It`s quite simple, i lost my hdd based archives.... thrice

It hurt quite a lot.

That`s what they want you to think :P

I have CD`s older than 10 years and they work perfectly.

DVD`s aren`t much different

And just as a little trivia, a compatriot of mine invented the 1 terra disk years ago

"Surprisingly" anybody who would have helped him make them in bulk got a better offer not to

Never my friend, never-I looked at the price of terrabyte drives and compared the price against what I needed and it just wasnt worth it! In a year or so I may need to upgrade but till then...!

Listened to it at least 50 times yesterday

Don`t you hate it when that happens? some random song gets stuck in your head and you can get enough of it?

Give me a couple of days and i`ll forget all about it

He sucks a fair bite more than that. Something round the other side.

Anyways! Off the Elton John/Jhon discussion.
At the moment because i paint downstairs i don't get to listen to much unless i can be bothered to find my MP3. At GW its just whatever crap they are playing on a constant loop but on the rare occasion i paint in my room its metal, thrash, death metal, black metal or Power Metal.

Most commonly its a toss up between Killswitch Engage, Trivium (Ascendancy Album is FTW!!!), Machine Head or Dragonforce. More and more often though i am listening to Nightwish (Have a look at their myspaceHeres there MySpank Dont listen to the clips, watch the videos.

Sometimes Blink 182 make it onto my Stereo. Not often, but i will always have a place in my heart for the whiny little gits... Mainly because i saw them live two months before they split up. I use to love them...

Yup, I did a speech on heavy metal once, so... You're missing Nintendo-core though!

Grindcore, Speedcore, and Blipcore.. Metal played at fast enough speeds guitarist hands coat the frets in blood and they routinely break fingers in mid song.

I have a book by a former music mag writer called 'The Sound of the Beast: The History of Heavy Metal'.. And it is good.. You blokes got me wanting to read it again >.<
