Allied DH/IG - 40K Terra

Hi,

Got 3500pts of IG and recently got the Coteaz boxset as wanted to branch out into another army. Now found out that can't use Coteaz as need pure DH army (Doh) so any suggestions on best set-up for Inquisitor HQ using the box-set?

Also with my IG lacking strength in CC and Fast attack any ideas using DH options?

well for guard FA, a hellhound and/or sentinal squad is best. you can use the allied FA slot (because you can only choose one) as a teleporting GK squad. they are extreme close combat guys.
for the inquisitor, i use mine as fire support. as a basic human, with S3 and T3, they arent really good in close combat. i would use 2 gun servitors and a sage

supposedly, inquisitors are no good in CC. i am planning one instead with a psycannon, just because that thing is beastly! also, some servitors or guard vets with nice guns will help, and some savants and mystics will help boost the shootiness of the squad. stick it in a chimera, then drive them to where you need fire support. well at least that's my strategy. but yea, a lot of the people round here advise using them as fire support, not CC. it would only boost your IG army too, because they are super gun oriented.

and the coteaz model is great..haha. it's a shame you can't use the character rules in non DH armies though.
