Default Artwork in the 4th ed. Chaos dex

Is it me or is the artwork lacking? There are a few pieces that I like, but most suck. In my opinion, the 3rd ed. art was much better. One that really sticks in my craw, the pic of Oblits in the 4th. I loved the one in the 3rd, but the new one is of what looks to be the older Oblits, and it stinks. What's your opinion?

I have the same feellings myself, they are lacking that certain...something the 3rd ed. had. The pictures of the cult champions were jaw dropping.

Anyone else notice the sketch of the "combi-bolter" on page 83 is actually a twin-linked bolter?

You know, you just made me realize something. In the 3rd edition the weapon of you speak of was called a Combi Bolter. Now it's called a Twin-linked Bolter. I like the old name better.

Some of the artwork is nice, but that's more the smaller, meaningless pieces. The large ones could use a tune up I suppose, but the Cult champions surfaced in full colour in the Liber Chaotica books and might show up again in the Daemon Codex.

I didnt think the art was that bad but then again I'm pretty easygoing and dont really have anything against GW right now when everyone else seems to have some sort of beef with them.

I think it is just GW doing what they do best.....Making a lack luster product and overcharging them. I have no "beef" with GW personally because i cant afford meats after i go to the store.......LOL

i hate how they use the old stuff, like REALLY old stuff, that is just terrible. for example: the deamon pictures in the new chaos dex. Really? thats the newest stuff you have of deamons?!?! nothin better, huh....

but overall its nice. the SM cover is cool.
