 |  Chaos Company Affiliation Poll....NEED HELP!! Hey My Brother Chaos Marines! Alright, I have a SM battle company boxed set on its way to me, and I intend to deliciously corrupt it into a full company of Chaos Marines (and get the bennies of the apocalypse datafax..woohoo!!!). However, I am having second thoughts settling on an affiliation (ie, paint scheme for it). I have added a poll to this to let you guys leave me your opinions. The choices are in the poll, and if you are unsure of the scheme, just look in the chaos codex. All are in one of the color plates that shows the different armor colors (minus the Red Corsairs). Personally, I am leaning towards the Company Of Misery, but I want my fellow heretic's advice before I get to building and painting. LET THE GALAXY BURN!!!!

 | Re: Chaos Company Affiliation Poll....NEED HELP!! neither the Company of Misery of the Steel Brethren ring any bells with me so i cannot really cast a fair vote however i would say go with your own scheme - that way you can freely choose your codex without some jobsworth saying they aren't chaosy enough to use chaos or they are too chaosy to use loyalist. basically your counter would be to change which stage they are at to suit the battle - pre or post corruption.

| Re: Chaos Company Affiliation Poll....NEED HELP!! It all depends on what army you currently have. would these be as allies to an existing CSM army of yours? In which case, which are they. Or do you perhaps have guard instead and wish to give them chaos affiliations? Out of the options listed I would go Corsairs or the Purge as they have the most interesting yet simple colour schemes - which is really what you want when you'll be painting 106 marines and 9 tanks. Also, don't forget to take a file to every eagle you find!!

| Re: Chaos Company Affiliation Poll....NEED HELP!! I am gonna mix them in on occasion with my Slaanesh Army, but also use them as a stand alone Apocalypse force. I mean, I am not trying to settle my own poll, I see the Purge and Corsairs are neck and neck, but after Slaanesh I like Nurgle and Nurgle-affiliated units (Death Guard, Purge, The Cleaved, Lords Of Decay, etc.). However, I also like Huron Blackheart and The Red Corsairs. *Voices Start Whispering Again* GAH!!!!!!

| Re: Chaos Company Affiliation Poll....NEED HELP!! Hmm... fluff-wise the more normal alliances are Khorne with Nurgle & Tzeentch with Slannesh. As Khorne & Slannesh hate each other and Tzeentch & Nurgle also hate each other. I.E. Red Corsairs would be your safest bet if you wanted to stick to the most cannonically likely alliance. But as with all things, it's your own choice. The great thing about the SM company is that it doesn't even fill all of the FOC! So it can be used for normal battles as well - and you'll still have room for 3 Elites, 1 Fast Attack and 1 Heavy Support slots to fill in as you please.
