Blog Entries: 1 | Ok, another crazy ideal. The picture of the Chosen in the 3rd ed. (I think also in the new one). You know, the four guys, big guy in the backgroud? Holy crap, I'm actually wanting to build them. Any suggestions?

| well, 4 of the chosen are cult leaders, so just build them as pimped-out chaos lords/sorcerers! pile on the gifts and wargear as much as you can and go to town! as for the 5th chosen, he's basically a 'mini abbadon' in that he's just an undivided chaos lord. look into the major cult characters to form the basis for each chosen; ie kharn for abbadon's khornate chosen champion... have a troll through the bitz on the gw on-line store too. there's way too much to even begin to list! cheers!

| According to Wikipedia: "The Chosen of Abaddon: Four top-ranking elite space marines within the Black Legion, and personal attendants to the Despoiler (possibly in a similar manner to his predecessor's advisors). Two are mentioned by name: Devram Korda, the Tyrant of Sarora (a servant of Slaanesh, based on descriptions of his appearance), and Ygethmor the Deceiver, a Tzeentchian sorcerer who led the Chaos forces in the Battle of Medusa V. The third member is armed with a glaive, has a horned head and a snarling wolf mask, and grinning skulls hang from his ornate power armor. The fourth member is covered in scabs and sores, and continually oozes gangrenous fluid from rusted tears in his bloated power armour. These two marines, respectively, represent the Chaos gods Khorne and Nurgle. Also referred to in the Medusa V booklet is Zaraphiston, a fellow sorcerer of Tzeentch, who was deposed by Ygethmor. Zaraphistron has since regained his position following Ygethmor's death at Medusa V." I think this info is probably pretty reliable, because I have heard of Ythegemor and Zaraphiston's hatred towards each other from the very Medusa V booklet the article describes and also from the 3rd Ed. codex, vying for Abaddon's favor as head sorcerer. I didn't know that Ythegemor died in Medusa V, though. So I guess it's: Zaraphiston: Head Tzeentchian Sorcerer Devram Korda: Slaaneshi Khornate champion Nurglish champion Have fun! EDIT: I just realised that this inner circle of four advisors is just like the Pre-Heresy "Mournival" from the Horus Heresy series: four advisors to the legion's commander. I bet you could have some fun with that.

| I'd have to go with Romulas on this one. If they're Abaddon's closest attendants/advisors, I think they'd be Black Legion. I don't think he'd trust anyone from another Legion enough for the job. They have to be devoted to him in the same amount that he was devoted to Horus, and a member of another Legion isn't likely to do that. Also, the Black Legion sold their souls to each of the gods in turn, so these are probably the best from each different era.

| Sergeant ![]() | Luna Wolves = Sons Of Horus = Black Legion So YES! All four of the chosen could be origional Luna Wolves as old as Abaddon himself (or older even, iirc Abaddon was a second-generation of recruits from their homeworld whoes name currently escapes me). Or they could have been recruited during the Legions time as Sons Of Horus. An important point as well is that the Black Legion welcome all CSM, no matter their background, which is why Abaddon has quite so many battling under his personal banner, far more than any other original Legion. So not only can they be from pre-heresy LW/SoH/BL they can also be from literally any source, be they originally loyalist or from another traitor legion. Abaddon is the one being able to truly unify the various legions to any single joint cause. Quote:
