Dark Adeptus - 40K Terra

Yeah, I want them. Trouble is, I know nothing about them. So any pics, info, suggestions and such would be really appreciated. I would like to have a small force, but I've never even seen an army of them. Some help please!

I don't know, I'd rather have just some pics. I can't hardly read fiction, even if it is 40k. This may sound weird, but when I read it's almost always gotta be nonfiction (history and the sciences mainly, and I read ALOT) because for some odd reason I feel like fiction is a waste of time as I don't learn from it. What the heck is wrong with me? Anyway, someone please get me pics, or at least a description of what the army would consist of. I'll try to read it Torque, but it will be real hard for me to pay money for fiction. Seriously, I don't know why!

hmm...haha i actually have never heard of dark adeptus either, but could you simply do some ad mech stuff from the imperial armor books and then incorporate LATD or some chaos contingent attached to it ? :]

hmm, dk have you read a bit on the wikipedia article ? maybe some of the info there can help you get some ideas flowing as well :]

Whew! From the looks of that article, it would be really complicated to make an acutal DM army. Still, it would be rare and super cool.

definitely super cool. it also means that incorporating war walky dudes is super fluff appropriate. tell us what you decide ! it would probably be challenging [and costly, of course...haha] but worth it in my opinion. rare, hard, or expensive armies always get more respect...from me at least :P

Well, I think it would be an awesome army for Apoc, or at least a good ally for my Black Legion. I wanna build em, but I have no clue about their rules, or anything else for that matter!

Wait until mid/end of next year (Imperial Armor 7)./.. There will be Ad MEch rules there... Supplement with Chaos things from Imperial Armor 6, and bammo.

Dark Mechanicus -
Pretty much the same as the AdMech, but are baically behind the creation and invention of all daemon engines and most renegade vehicles, ie things like the Defiler, the Plaguereaper and Abaddons infamous flagship the Planet Killer.
They maintain the chaos titans, vehicles, technology, ships, etc, etc.
They are also just as political and in-fighting as the AdMech, if not more so.
They are also one of the possible sources of where the Obliterator Virus came from.
They don't use AI, as even tho they suffer none of the imperial restrictions, they can instead possess their creations with human souls or daemons.
They take advantage of the choas powers as much as worship them.
Some become more like sorceerers than mechanics.

But yeah, there isn't much official about the Dark Adeptus out there really. Is would imagine Seige Of Vrakks part 1 & 2 will probably have a small amount at least.

2 is supposed to touch on them, and IA:7 is solely for Ad Mech, and will cover the Dark Adeptus too.

I'm just wondering if I could use a bunch of Defilers instead of Titans. I'm not rich, so multiple Titans are out of the question. Also, what would the main body of the army consist of? CSM?

I'd think corrupted Tech Priests are a sort of semi-elite troops.
Corrupted/enslaved menials, servitors, and corrupted skitarii would definitely be it.
