|  Fallen Dark Angels I'm planning on doing a fallen dark angels army using the chaos codex and running it largely undivided. my only question is should i model all the marines super chaosie or should i do it space marine with hints of chaos. |

Blog Entries: 1  |  and atleast for the asp champs and any chosen you do i suggest using robed da models. old metals or new plastic style. plastics would be easier to give a chaosy feel to and they look really good for chosen. thats how i'm doing my 1000 sons chosen. i've got 7 metal robed da. i wanted some of the new ones but these were much cheaper!!

| you have to paint them black to fit the pre-heresy dark angel feel. i like the idea of a robed body a possessed arm and an emperor meltagun. it just feels right and god help me when i start modeling the terminators out of assualt terminators and the new chaos plastic models  |

| per the fluff the deathwing changed there colors after the heresy so they would be black. and as for cyper that is a very good possiblity just because the chaos marines seem to be ambidexteris and have bolt pistols on each arm. way ahead of you. the only problem is a cypher rule set that is functional... |

| absolutely on both the trading and the GW lack of new cypher rules. Only problem is i'm not to sure what I'm gonna need but I'm totally aware of how long a man's bit box can sit untouched. I'll let you know if i need something special i don't have. |

| the whole chapter were jet black to my knowledge and after the heresy the deathwing went over to the white armour. and as for the bikes it's hard to squeeze 4x 10 man chaos marines w/rhino, 10 terminators, predator, 8 man havoc, chaos lord(i plan on using the azareal model and doing some chaos mods ), and i'm thinking about a defiler or another havoc squad at 2,000pt. but with bikes it does give me an excuse to do really rude things to a ravenwing sprue |

| yeah the game store here offered the dark angels megaforce (210) and the new chaos (190) for 340 so it wouldn't be a bad idea. there's like more than 2,000 pts there. and if i run to battleforce's first i would have 3,000 for that great apocalpse games. i'll just ebay the scouts and berzerkers that i don't need i the end great army and decent price. |

| i really don't like the dreadnaught model that is for the DA. I'm thinking of maybe a chaos with lots of DA iconolgy. as for forge world dreads there great ,had a word bearers dread, i just hate spending 80 dollars for a 140ish pt model. |

| the amount of chaos bitz you add will depend on just how far-gone your fallen warband is! some of the fallen have truely gone over to the greater gods, so in that case you could include daemonic minions like the possessed, lesser daemons & defilers. for these warbands, you can also go to town on adding in chaotic bitz and include various marks and cult units as well! however, many more of the fallen realise that they were wrong, so if that's the case with your warband, then i'd limit your force to just chaos marines and no marks or daemonic/cult units of any kind. i'd also keep the chaotic bitz to a select few, such as the older style armour and re-inforced shoulder pads. avoid any overtly chaotic iconography as these guys don't really worship chaos at all - they're more like outcasts and/or mercenaries who are on the run from their former bethren! cheers!

| well i started the army just last week. i went with the idea that after the primarch came back to the home world and attacked the marines that were left on it for whatever "dark secret" you wanna accept, in the end the marines that survived and fled to the warp in turn over time began to accept it as there new home and over time began to worship the dark gods. i have some pics for those of you that need to see them. |

| baaaaahhhhhh i had to take it a little to far. there is just to many options with all those special sprues. that and i'm taking it out of the fluff just a little. i want chaos marines that were once dark angels. in the greater scheme of things i like that the fact that no single model is alike. |
