Blog Entries: 1 | Ok guys, I wanna hear your opinion on this. The models are kinda expensive, so are they worth buying? Also, how good would the tide of spawn be for apoc? I've never used spawn, so any info on them is welcome. Thanks!

Blog Entries: 1 | dude...come on, those models are sweet!!! my wallet twitches every time i see them ![]() as for being useful...hmmm....now to what use could i put a pair of somethings that could potentially move upto 24" in a single turn and hit with d6+1 s5 attacks each? i was thinking about it the other day and i recon they would make a good unit to set up on a refused flank. they could slow down half the opposing army for a few turns while the rest of your lads get in and kill stuff. best bet would be 2 units of 2 i think for vp reasons.

| Conscript ![]() | those models are realy good. and regardning the rule theyre better than the LatD version (due to their speed) and i swear by at least 6 LatD spawn. grante they are now a lot more expensive (points) and dont get 3+ save anymore, but at that speed, theyre gonna scare the crap out of IG and tau armies and will draw fire until theyre dead. |

| How does the spawn move up to 24" The codex says that it is slow and purposeful. I thaught the rules said role 2d6 and take you can use the largest one. I can see it says it is under fast attack but there is no stats for 24" movement. |

Blog Entries: 1 | its also got the fleet usr and counts as a beast/cavelry. d6" in the movement phase, d6" inthe shooting phase and then a 12" assult = 14-24" total movement.

Blog Entries: 1 | I think the 24" movement is only for Apoc games, but I'm not sure. Can someone confirm this?

| Hi Hairyyhoo I have the rule book on what page does it say they have fleet and that with slow and purpos you add a d6 to the movement In the main rule book page 75 it shows Slow and P and in the new Chaos Codex page33 and 99 shows the info on the spawn. |

Blog Entries: 1 | ok i'll try again, this time i'll cite page numbers cos my last explanation was a little confusing even to me ![]() slow and perposeful gives you the highest of 2d6 in the movement phase in the same fashon as a difficult terrain test (pages 76 and 17 of the bbb). page 33 of the chaos dex, under the spawn entry, it says "unit type:beasts", which gives them a fleet move (page 57 bbb). fleet gives a further d6 in the shooting phase. and as beasts they get a 12" charge (also pg 57 bbb) so, (highest of 2d6)+d6+12=14-24"

| Sergeant ![]() | i'm gonna have at least twelve soon enough (chaos army deal + tide of spawn set). The Apocalypse rules for Tide of Spawn are simply awesome. They basically all sit in reserve and as soon as they are available they must be deployed. How they arrive: Choose a squad of Chaos marines with an iconbearer (what god doesn't matter). However many marines are alive in that squad - you replace the whole squad with that number of Spawn, to a max of ten Spawn - even if there are more than 10 marines (they count as having merged together or having been killed by the sudden rush of gifts from their patron god). If there are fewer than ten marines in the squad chosen, then the surplus Spawn count as destroyed and will not be deployed. Have a Nice End of the World.
