Blog Entries: 4 | So do you as fight Iron Warriors? What is the name of your Grand Company? Do you favour the Obliterater Cult Army as many do or do you go for somthing more subtle. What are your tactics-do you sit there and let the enemy wash into your well prepared lines or grind forward mercilessly and crush them under your seige breakers? Myself, Grand Company Primus under the control of Warsmith Zarich the Banefull. Taticus-eschewing the wholesale use of Obliterators Warsmith Zarich prefers to use well prepared positions for his "Anvil" letting the enemy come to him, letting a Predator or two slip out from the lines to soften up the enemy or reduce their armoured might, before they wash into the battle line or maybe even draw them in further. Once the enemy has advanced far enough towrds the prepared positions, then the "Hammer" strike troops (chosen Terminators and a few Obliterators) are teleported in behind the advance to crush the enemy between the hammer and anvil! |

| 4th grand company here obliterators and small squads, supported by 'big bertha' the basilisk, pound the enemy whilst my daemon prince generally smashes everything in front of it.

| Trooper ![]() | Warsmith Gren and the 8th Grand company, I tend to go for defended positions with several CSM squads and a basilisk. When the enemy get close, I deep stike some raptors for tank hunting, and a few chosen termies and obliterators to sweep up the infantry. Sometime I use bikes to entice the enemy closer. Nothing is more annoying then twin linked bolters after all ![]()

Blog Entries: 1 | warsmith griplion gremlin member of the 4th iron warriors grand company (and of the website of the same name) mix. usually between 2-4 oblits in my force and i go for larger troop squads that arent so easily taken out. then i i've got a heavy hitting hq squad that excells in hth. i also usually field a vindi for support and on larger (2500pts +) i'll field a basi and now a defiler as well for some pie plate action. lately i've been trying out a more costly hq squad with a lord and 4 chosen asp champ ret all with dem str, twin lightning claws, dem speed (gotta love calvary moves!!!) and a few more items totaling out around 700pts or so. yeah i know expensive but since came up with it i've not failed to be able to get them into hth and once there they walk thru anything that is in thier way. i've walked thru dreads, termies, sm, orks, ig, eldar and even a land raider. enjoy grip |
