| gaining Daemonhood does have the advantages of immortality but it also takes with it the ability to operate at peak effectiveness in real space for extended periods of time without a great deal of bloodshed/worshippers. |

| Not sure- he might hold off even longer to ensure the full emergence of a Chaos Dominated Galaxy, so that when he does ascend he'll be most powerful Prince in the Warp. I can see Abbadon wanting to be on a par with the Gods themselves. |

| Corporal ![]() | Death to the popcorn emperor !!! abaddon rocks :P he's just biding his time. i dare say he's a match for a daemon prince at the mo! :P since he's already managed to go all 4 gods, remain undivided, and loko how powerful he is... imagine if he fully dedicated himself to just 1!!! i dare say he would be that god incarnate after a while ^^

| Extremis Diabolus ![]() ![]() | Besides the Baron's good points, Abaddon wants revenge on the Emperor. If he's possessed, then the daemon in him (no pun intended) will most likely divert him from this goal by making pay homage to his patron, and while it is, of course, every daemon's wish to see the Emperor eliminated, they're realists, as I see it: they worry about killing lots of other people to sate their urges or whatever before they go for the Emperor.

| Extremis Diabolus ![]() ![]() | I don't know if there's that much to tell. Daemon sword. I wrote a story where, at the end, it was revealed that the daemon in Abaddon's sword was really the essence of Horus. But don't you dare steal that... ![]()

EDIT: Scratch that, I have heard that before, from the Lexicanum: "Drach'nyen is the daemon sword belonging to Abaddon the Despoiler. It is said that a golden-skinned stranger, speculated to be the C'tan Deceiver, led him to it under the Tower of Silence on Uralan and that he had to pass tests given to him by the Chaos Gods in order for him to obtain the sword, a gift to only those who were worthy of their dark powers. *EDIT* The 3rd ed. just says he took it from it's crypt, the new one says the crypt was below the Tower of Silence on Uralan. Can you tell me anything else on Uralan?

| Extremis Diabolus ![]() ![]() | I was trying to think of that myself... I think that while the reference is there and blatant, it was possibly not the Deciever who showed him to it. Who? I have no idea...

Blog Entries: 5 | basically the deciever is around solely to F*** with people and giving him that sword would certainly do that. and leading him to it while he was possibly not able to pass the tests would screw with him as well.

| the removal of the swords influence from the temple might have set some chain of events that the Ctan wished. probly had nothing to do with abadon atall. perhaps ther was a large stasis chamber beneth that temple and the swords evergy wouldnt alow them to wake. who knows. but dont underestimate the Ctan

| Corporal ![]() | But wouldnt this, in some way, demean and undermine abaddon. sure the ctan is an ageless entity thing, but abaddon is the grand-daddy warmaster now, conquering stuff and all...do you think he would be played so easily... i dont doubt he could be played by something as powerful as this ctan but, cmon, death to the false emperor, show some respect lol

| well seing that the Ctan are pritty much gods that have been around since the beginning of the galaxy feeding on starts, i dont think they would have much trouble playing abadon. we are also talking about abadon before he came to his curent level of power. eather way if it was the Ctan you can bet ther was an alterier motive. so as far as respect goes, get in line and ad your soul to the harvest! ![]()
