Blog Entries: 4 |  My Iron Warriors Well seen as Ive just added a few new bits to my army i thought Id actually take stock of what I have-it would also let me see how little of it is actualy painted  So heres a pic of what was in my army boxes/on my desk.  In it you can see: 60 Chaos Marines 3 Heavy Bolters 6 Plasma Guns 4 Melta Guns 4 Las Cannons 3 Missile Launchers 2 Flamers 7 (Old) Terminators 2 Obliterators 1 warsmith 1 Lord on Bike 1 Lord on foot 1 Dreadnought 1 Bassilisk 1 Predator Not Shown as they are either on loan, on order, unbuilt or there was no room for them: 3 Rhinos (no Room) 1 Squad of Possesed (unbuilt) 2 Squad of Chaos Marines (unbuilt) 3 Chaos Bikers (unbuilt) 3 Chaos Rhinos (unbuilt) 30 Chaos Marines-Fully built, painted and based (on Loan) 10 (Old) Raptors (unbuilt/stripped of paint + I dont like the models) 16 Death Guard (Awaiting Arrival) 4 Death Guard Havocs (Awaiting Arrival) And Im contemplating getting: 3 Vindicators-definately getting (no if's or but's) 1 Dreadnought (Forgeworld)-With siege weapons 2 Landraiders - HQ Transport 10 Chaos Terminators - though make convert Imperial ones as i dont like the Chaos ones 10 Chaos Spawn (for tide of Spawn in Apocalypse) More Chaos Marines More Rhinos-enough so each squad of 10 can have a transport |

Blog Entries: 1 | Re: My Iron Warriors Oh, I so love the Pred. The Basilisk is awesome, to bad you can't use it (GRRR!) unless it's Apoc. In my opinion, the Undivided Legions really got jipped, so now they are just vanilla. No cultists for Alpha, no Basi (and everyone can have multiple Oblits) for IW, no extra troops for WB and Night Lords, well I don't really care for them anyway! I'm sure you'll find some sneaky ways to make IW deadly though. I wanna see those Land Raiders!

| Re: My Iron Warriors lovely big collection, be bigger than mine by the time we're both done for sure. I too pla to get the Tide of Spawn set at some point (the plastic spawn are just truly amazing to behold), but that will probably be my last purchase for a while.

The big question Im facing at the moment is do I paint them as Death Guard or experiment using the standard Iron Warrior colour scheme but with nurgle touches (rust etc where they have the influence (effluence)? of Nurgle showing). I prefer the second idea as they would fit better overall with the look of the army ratjher than having a random coloured unit (its not a Black Legion army after all). Thoughts.... |

Just think about it, the IW are siege specialists, and what better weapon to have in siege warfare than a nasy and virulent disease? Force your poor enemies to retreat to strongpoints, then blast them with artillery and Grandfather Nurgle's pandemic-of-the-month. Plus, on the TT, Nurgle troops could slow down opponents, clog them up a bit and let the IW unload some heavy stuff on em.
