| Sorry about all the annoying questions, but I am trying to get ready for my first Tourny in about 3 years and I don't really have a good group to play test against/bounce Ideas off of so I am using you fine fellows in hopes of getting some answers. In the new chaos codex it doesn't state what the heck an Icon actually is. Is it a standard and would therefore take up a hand to use? Is it akin to a boss pole and so you can just stick it on the back of a backpack and call it good? Bassically what are they and how have you all decided to represent them in your army lists? Thanks for the help, Servo |

| I think all of the above, in the dex it doesn't specifically state that it takes up a hand, as they still have three weapons.

| The Witchhunter ![]() | it can be a standard, it can be a backpack banner, it can be in the form of a flag, a metal symbol, it could be bones like those in the SoB's Simulcrum Imperialis - for chaos it tends to be the metal symbol, but that doesn't mean it must be. as long as it is clear that something represents the icon, it can take whatever form you like - i suggested to someone a while ago that they use the shield from the Slaanesh Lord on steed of slaanesh from the fantasy range for a Slaanesh icon, as it has the O-I-C symbol, but could conceivably stretch to count as a hand weapon.
