Blog Entries: 1 | First off, I'm thinking about getting some Obliterators. I've been looking at the stats for a couple of days now, and I'm wondering if I should get a squad. I had three, but I traded them off as I never really seen them shine on the battlefield. However, I'm thinking about DS them around a biker with Icon. I really don't like my bikes much, but I figure I could make them more deadly by DS 3 Obliterators and 10 Termis with 2 Reapers and the rest combi-bolters. Next, I'm wondering what the best strategy for Abbadon would be. Should I DS him? This would leave him vunerable for at least one turn, and I can assure you every enemy weapon in range would shoot at him (my friends fear him even more now). Should he be mounted in a LR? Or should I bring him in as reserve around turn 3 when the enemy is thinned down a bit? Any tips would be much appreciated.

| oblits; i'd start them on-table. they have a great selection of weapon options that you can use to fill-in any gaps or else take down that one annoying target! deep striking them simply means you have that many fewer turns, but it does get their shorter ranged weapons such as the twin-linked plasma guns into range right away... termies; the only time i'd deep strike termies is if they have heavy flamers... otherwise, they simply make a solid center for force. your opponent will hammer them yes, but while he/she is so focused on your termies, the vast majority of your force is being left to their own devices! ![]() abbadon; dear sweet chosen's teeth don't deep strike him!!! (well, unless you feel like gambling and think you can get that unit of termies to come down with him!) abbadon is going to attract insane amounts of attention - he needs a unit to hide in... doesn't matter if you stick him with a big unit of chaos marines or a unit of termies - just put him with his buddies!!! cheers!

Blog Entries: 5 | stitch is correct, I'd skip the oblits though and get a nice squad of havocs. Termies, well, i'd say march em up the center and laugh.Abaddon. he is in a class of his own, but if you dont attach him to a unit he will be in a dead class of his own. Steve

Blog Entries: 1 | I think this may work: turn 1, I Turbo Boost a 10 man Bike squad with Icon of Glory to the enemy's strongest point, focusing on his toughest infantry. Turn 2 I deep strike Abby using the Icon, and screen him with the Bikes. Turn 3 I deep Strike 10 shooty termies around Abby using his Personal Icon. I will have to leave the Bike with the Icon of Glory near the rear, so I can DS Abby and still have room for the shooty termies. After I DS in the termies, I move the Bikes off to deal with any armour (they got Meltaguns), or attack weaker infantry squads. Abby can now move and assault, and the termies can soften them up beforehand. Think this will work?

| Trooper ![]() | that sounds like a solid plan, but I think its too much too fast. I personally see way to many targets in one spot. I couple of pie plates from your enemy (leman russ tanks, basaliks, whirlwinds, defilers, etc) and you could be in a world of hurt. Not to mention the fact that its a one trick pony. I would fall for that once, just once. after that i would think of counter tactics...
