| Utilizes Codex: Chaos Space Marines. {=The Iron Warriors=} Force organization- Follows Codex: Chaos Space Marines all with but the following exceptions and limitations. - A single Fast Attack slot may be swapped for another Heavy Support choice slot. (Limited to 1 extra slot per army) at +20 pts. - Iron Warriors may use any 1 of the following Imperial vehicles, to a maximum of 1 per army. -Leman Russ (Any pattern) -Basilisk -Hellhound -Chimera These follow the points from the according codex, and being manned by Chaos Space Marines and not servitors or Imperial Guard the vehicles have an improved +1 BS. The vehicle may only be given upgrades from Codex: Chaos Space Marines. -The only Icon able to be taken by an Iron Warriors army is the Icon of Chaos Glory. -Cult troops may be taken as normal. -No Daemons or Greater Daemons may be taken. -No Daemon Spawn may be taken.

| Trooper ![]() | Overall, I like it. I really do wish GW had come out with rules for playing Iron Warriors... I was thinking of starting an IW army, but the new codex smashed that.

| Yeah, but don't worry I have a feeling some of my home grown rules will snap GW out of the stupidity circuit and make Iron Warriors decent again. All in all, I think I've made a balanced list for IW, just let me think for a bit about the FA and HS choices.

Blog Entries: 1 | very interesting. very interesting. though i would think that IW would be able to overcome the limit of servo arms and terminator armor. also something special on the lords and deamon princes for a special weapon perhaps. i like the cybernetics enhancement idea. not so sure about the chimera though. not a big fan of it and it would be a bit more towards iron warriors to maintain whirlwinds or similar style vehicles versus a chimera. mainly as a rhino is cheaper and more efficitve imho. though with the improved BS idea the chimera would become more deadly. good work.

| Trooper ![]() | I'd have to agree on Chimeras. However, I would say give the extra Heavy Weapons slot and maybe another to replace perhaps an elite slot for a Vindicator only, as this is a HUGE part of the siege idea.

| Soldaten ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I dont know if its been mentioned but I think if they use a Chimera their troops should be limited to 6 models, not 12 Using the same reasoning and rules as placing Orgryns

| Those are justified causes, i thought about including tanks from the Marine list but then again, why would you want to take a whirlwind over a basilisk? Or a razorback, landspeeder or attack bike? I don't want this to be too OP cuz then it would be just as powerful, if not more than old IW. Iron Warriors Vindicator (Vindicator choice) Follows all corresponding options in Chaos Space Marines with the following exceptions/benefits. May only take the Icon of Chaos Glory. -May take Targetting Array Stabilizer at +10 points -May be upgraded with Reinforced Bulkhead at +20 points -May be ugraded with Spiked Lacerators at +5 points -May be upgraded to fire Incinderary Shells at +10 points. (Replaces Demolisher rounds) Incinderary shells- Str 6, Ap 4, R 36", Heavy/Large blast Ignores cover saves.
