| Primer ![]() | I've had the same issues. With both systems, lol. I tend to bounce between Fantasy and 40K a few months at a time. I've managed to completely paint up 2250 tourney armies for both systems in that time (over the course of a few years), but I find that my interests are not held long by either system. I'm currently working on a Tomb Kings army and, even though I don't like the fluff, a Death Guard army for 40K. I'm building the DG army without a single DG miniature, and with no vehicles of any type. Creating a themed army for them without bending toward the accepted Nurgle theme is giving me the motivation to move forward with the project. For 40K... think about 5th edition (what you think might work best for YOU) and then try to build a non-traditional army around that. Shake things up a bit and see where it gets you. It may simply be, that like me, you just need a bit of time off from that aspect of the hobby. I ran all the 40K tourneys in my local area for one year, while playing in all the WHFB tourneys.... I've missed the last 3 tourneys, not even knowing that 2 of them occured until I walked into the hobby shop in the middle of the tourney. Sometimes you just have to take a break. |

| Corporal ![]() ![]() | 5th Ed. should make the new Chaos Codex more bearable. Some of the options are going to be vastly improved (Nurgle Daemon weapon wounding on a 2+!), and the new rules should help both destroy your opponent easier and keep yourself alive at the same time. The new line of sight rule, in particular, can help with the old hammer and anvil tactic. And never call a Celt poor. We're simply the best, nobody else knows it yet ![]()

| Lodge Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Every time theres new rules coming out alot of people panic and complain ( not saying you are ) And shortley after it comes outthey learn to deal with it.Change stinks in games the majority of the time.I agree though that fantasy has more ways of making your leaders characterful, and 40k seems from what we have heard to be getting far-ther away from this, the whole chapter traits thing leaving is gonna kill my army and thats alot of points but i will figure something out.But before you Bounce wait and see, theres nothing wrong with putting 40k down for a little to focus on Fantasy, but dont leave just yet,you might end up being sorry.Hope you stay.

| Discord Chaos and death!! ![]() ![]() ![]() | Best bet look into each armys fluff and see which strikes you the most then work up a list that you like and such...like most Witch Hunter players can't win really but..they have a blast playing.

| High Lord of Terra ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I feel where you are coming from my friend. I have been playing GW games for about 16 years now and thus far I have taken about 3 years total off from 40k. Most of the time I play both (come to think of it now, I don't own a Fantasy army at the moment), but there are times where I just have to put one or the other or both down for a few months and pick them up again at a latter time. If you are anything like me the worst thing you could do would be push yourself and continue doing something and get burnt out on it and then never want to return again. I recomend taking a break, picking up the 5th ed rules when it comes out, but don't play right away. Take time to read over the rules, relax, play paintball, and then naturally come back to 40k when the time is right for you. If you want to still get your fix of 40k with out modeling, painting, buying, etc. then just hit up the battlefield here and that should tide you over until you are ready to come back to the hobby that you love! My two cents, Servo |
