Last but not least, folks are starting to mumble about the Space Marine releases we will see after 5th is released later this year. There is talk of either a retooled plastic sprue for the standard plastic marine set or possibly an additional marine accessory sprue. The latest round of rumors say these extra bits will include.............wait for it.......................Early Armor Mks!!!! Go Heresy Gamers!

They ought to put more respirator heads on that sprue. Sounds cool though.

I heard that 5th ed. will be July and marines in October... Daemons in May and LOTR in August fills...

How accurate is that? it seemed like official information (if I'm correct, it was the Rogue Trader's warhammer specialist...) but you never know...

Still... shame I won't be in the states to get the rule book...

Nice random post thanks, Munkey, lol. Surely you know these hands Chaosize every thing they touch by now! You know what I'd probably mug a man for? One of those Roman-looking SM helmets. I really like Iron Armour, would make for a cool winged Chaos Lord. Heresy Armour would be even sweeter!

The marine codex is said to be huge, clocking in at nearly 140 pages. And the Space Wolves are coming hot on their heels just in time for the holidays!

Those 2 releases push IG and Planetstrike (along with that stubborn plastic thunderhawk rumor) into early to mid 2009.

This year is gonna' be great!

Wolves I can understand, but another space marine codex? They just released one. How about a new dark eldar or necron codex .

DE are slated for next year. i've seen concept models. SM need a new 'dex because frankly their current one is broken beyond all belief and far too powerful/open for abuse.

ive seen this many places before.

ill believe it when i see it...

whichisnt to say i dont want to see it.

though a part of me doesnt want pre heresy stuff easily accesible to all. itll take the novelty of it all away from crazy nuts who are obsessed with pre heresy and want their armies to be special. plastic early MK kits will destroy that uniqueness of the MKs

still, anything that gives more spures = more options to the bitz buyer!

I think the only thing we'll honestly see is some MK bits that just aren't there. Mostly torsos and helmets, I bet.

and with only the basic 3 legs, no little snotrag will have 'easily accessable' early mk armour because the knee pads won't be right, and you'll still missing all the studded stuff!
so DC, you and your unsane brethren will still be the proper envy of all because your 'heresy era' marines will look right!

Thats what the guy I talked to said... only he added space marines in sept. or oct... (well... he didnt say mordor... he said some LOTR thing...)
