And i despise GW`s love for Tau.

It`s a vicious circle that can only be cut by GW.

And it seems they`re working on it. First the first battle ever lost by Tau was presented in the Ork Dex, now ultra mega shooty tank armies aren`t as effective good stuff.

Only they could have done a lot better though. The tank thing still looks generaly annoying.

Well, i belive that`s what people call a necessary evil.

Not fearing you won`t even get 10 kills before you get wiped out is nice.... but your tanks being a lot less useless isn`t

Yeah, see one of the problems I have is that I use a squad of Land Speeders (two Tornados and one Typhoon) in my army... plus three Dreadnoughts...

I typically use heavy flamer option.

Tanks are now going to be *ucking useless.I can image my first battle in my head.

Turn 1,2- keep my leman russ tanks and hellhounds still and fire

Turn 3- lose 3 tanks to raptors,havocs,and a terminator squad.Remaining tanks get damaged and left useless.

Turn 5- all infantry get mowed by remaining CSMs.Game Over.

Tanks were way under powered in 4th now there jokes on treads in 5th.

Tanks aren't really all to sturdy IRL when pitted against a capable foe...

makes no sense seeing how IA,Codexes,and other sources show that most tanks carry gunners for each weapon and moving at 20-25 mph is not fast enough to make you brace yourself and let go of your gun mount.I could understand a -1 BS or something but not this.

True but Try using 40k rules to determine if a RPG could take out a M1 Abrams.

I'd like to see stuff like sloped armor be used in 40k rules.

and seeing stealers take down any armor is just a joke.No matter how many times you hack at a tank it should still hold.Its like a pack of raptors/wolfs/bears other land animals trying to take out a M117 APC it just wouldn't happen.

Very true. Though extremely intimidating, tanks are not intended to be a one-on-one combatant, hence why most tanks in 40K are reserved for Heavy Support slots. Emphasis on "Support." While tanks are deadly, they're meant to have a "sit way back and fire from safety" role.

From what I've learned so far about 5th, most tanks will suffer a nerf in firepower but get a buff in vitality.

You're putting genestealers at animalistic inellect. They are human like in intelligence. And much, MUCH stronger. And you are assuming destroying a vehicle means it carves through the armor or blows up the tank.

There are charge cableson a predator. Or tanks. OR motors on the treads.

Just so you know, an Uncle of mien is in 3rd armor div.... His tank was took out (an abrams) in the most insulting way... A steel rod was rammed between the track and wheels, which popped on tread off, this ground the tread until it popped off, rolled up the wheels to bunch up and overload the motor of the tank and cause it to over heat and just shut off.

You telling me a stealer can't do that?

Very true, plus let's not forget that the Tyranids rapidly evolve to better combat their enemies, whereas any animal on our planet would give up after a few minutes of vainly attacking a tank.
