Erus isn`t a power gamer, i am (but i`m also a fluffy gamer most of the times) What erus is is called apocalyptic he just takes the worse out of everything (especially out of what i say).

Also, since when does a pred have a torso? I think you quoted the wrong message there
When Adeptus Mechanus go bad III? :3
Actually...give me a week and I think I can make that, but for potential vehicle mounted weaponry, I'd suggest tape or magnets. Or both.)

And ah, the way I had read it, it just sounded like another space marine player who grabs every asscan he can(Best musical title ever btw. "Asscan he can") and is now complaining that it's being toned down to a managable level. My bad on the assumption.

Nah, I actually ojnly have like... 2 baal preds (2) 2 in 1 termie squad (4) and 2 or 3 dreads with one... So, out of 220+ marines at about 14K, I only have 6-7 ass cans. Not nearly that big a ratio.

I care less about the power of the ass-can, and more about the fact that the change to them might make my favorite tank not the tank it should be. A super-charged crazy fast vehicle that shreds things to a pulp with bullets then lights them on fire!

yeah but the assault cannon is still a damn good infantry crowd control weapon without rending, it doesn't need rending to be effective.

Whoa, I like the Blast Weapons rule. I would love this change. It would make my Vindy and Defiler much more effective.

Well, a few things get me as well as i imagine it will others-

First off, the always hit on the rear armor for tanks. So for example and sake of argument, a squad charging the front of a predator somehow manage to attack its flank? How is that justifiable? Unless of course tank shock and such still apply and passing allows the troops to swarm around it.

Secondly, Scattering blast weapons? That should only happen if they miss, and i'm sure we can agree on that much.

Rending i'm not worried about, but the limiting, crippling and min/maxing of Assault cannons for a Space marine army isn't such a good thing either. At least 5 or so units use them, and by making the model itself less useful and more expensive just because they have the ability to take an assault cannon is not right. Not even abusing it, but just have the option.

The line of sight is just a poor excuse for rules... Surely when you train the best warriors a race has to offer you can trust them to avoid friendly fire. But I guess GW has other ideas.

And still my biggest complaint, the nerfing of the armory i'm seeing in all latest codices. Why? It makes me mad that for some reason my assault marines cannot take meltabombs, my sergeant cannot quip a set of claws or a hammer, and my choices are rubbed in my face through dots. "MAY TAKE PLASMA PISTOL, MAY TAKE POWER FIST".

If an emperors children noise marine cannot take a plasma pistol, then why is there a picture of one wielding one in the new codex? *Blame GW*

I could not care if they nerfed the armies slightly, but taking away the flavor of customization is irrefutable!

Its like taking your 4 week old newborn baby, and then GW saying WE CAN MAKE IT BETTER! And your baby returns missing a leg and two fingers.

Great huh?

Both scattering blast weapons and LoS through friendly units have been changed recently (remember these are still rules under going play testing).

BS now determines how much the weapon scatters, you minus the firer's BS from the inches that the weapon would scatter (e.g if a weapon scatters 4 inches and it was fired by a Space Marine then it counts as a hit).

You can now fire through Friendly units but the enemy gets a 4+ cover save if you do, but it works the other way to- if they want to hit one of your units that is behind another one of yours you get a 4+ cover save as well.
