8. Vehicles without a WS always get hit in the rear armour.
9. Vehicles able to ram
10. Other vehicle amendments
11. Mission rules changed in a similar manner to Apocalypse (no more Alpha, Gamma or Omega).
12. Only non vehicle non swarm troop choices are scoring units.
13. Vehicles types are adjusted (the rumoured skimmer nerf)

1,2,4,5, 7 & 9

I Dislike:

3,8,12, & 13

5th is coming - sorry erus! and some of those rummors i've already heard from multiple HQ guys here in the north...

look for a more streamlined & easier to follow rules set, but alot more tactical play style! (ie: on par with fantasy as while everyone will have similar weaknesses, they're very nasty weaknesses!)

They pump out 5th edition next year, I quit the hobby and the blood sucking vampires can kiss my lilly white arse. Sorry for the venom, ands it's not directed at you Stitch.. It's just unreasonable. At this point, a new edition would only be for money.. Especially when some armies like SW are so far behind they've not even been updated to the current edition. Pure B.S.

give 5th a chance erus... it's going to be what 3rd edition should have been! 4th was rushed because of the massive problems with 3rd edition... the studio has been working on properly developing 5th edition since the day after they released 4th. (which was really a 'here's something a little better to get you by while we do the job we should have done in the first place!')

I don't mind a 5th edition as long as it's released in 2009. That gives me ample time to play this year...

Plus 5th edition will just essentially be a "patched" version of 4th edition, so I'm not too worried about any changes.

Summer 08... I find this hard to believe... honestly, I don't care what GW thinks, wait until all the codices are finished before releasing a new ed... you could release the final codex with 5th ed... but really... 4th ed works well enough...

*sigh* guess I'll just have to figure out how to get a copy of this book to myself when I go back to Bangladesh...

4th was simply getting us ready for the change to 5th... 3rd was craptastic and led to the current problem of absolute power gaming and 'theory-hammer' list building... 2nd was simply 'hero-hammer' and arguments!

I'm still furious that 5th edition would be put out so early. I'm hesitant to even model squads now.... Who knows wtf they will change.

but then i loved 2nd edition to no end. it made for some of the most epic 1 v 1 battles you have ever seen. and the fact that penetrating vehicles was a lot more involved and have more varied results...

but then nostalgia was kicking and screaming. as i started at the end of RT begining of 2nd edition.

well anyhow, running and ram values to make a return

nothing like raming a dred with an ork wartrukk and screaming the whole way

look to apocalypse to give you an idea of the rules changes... vehicles will become harder to kill as there will be only 1 table where glancing hits suffer a negative modifier for example. (ie: you can't outright destroy vehicles with glances anymore, but you enough of the will really feth stuff up!)
