Black Gobbo is DEAD - 40K Terra

Hey guys i just got this e-mail from the US gamesworkshop team:

Hello,

Black Gobbo was the way our US team used to deliver a bundle of product and hobby content every two weeks to your waiting eyes. Very much an e-zine approach.
The new website will be supplied automatically with product and hobby content from the Global Web Team and our US Community & Events updates will go up as we finalize the details or complete the coverage. So, although it appeared regularly as a nice counterpart to White Dwarf, there's no need to keep up the packaging when the material will still be added to the site.

Great another one of the few things I liked about GW online after the forms closed down is dead. *sigh* I just wish GW would get there stuff together. I remember when we didn't have to worry about price jacking every 9-14 months and when things were done to improve the game not sales.

Oh well I will continue to play the game I love, but I am not sure how much I will support, finantially speaking, GW any more.

Not that it had anything worth looking at these last few months anyways... just "look! cool stuff! buy some!"

But anyways... still... I used to like black gobbo... it had a few interesting articles.

I never read anything good from it. Hopefuly they'll try better on White dwarf i hear everyone complaining about

Oh my god don't even get me started on White Dwarf. I had a subscription lasting from issue 89 all the way to 290 and then I got so fed up with it being a cataluge with crap content that I droped it. I also remember when I first signed up for the magazine I got a free Baal Predater. Then when I re-newed it I got a squad of Scourges from Dark Eldar. Now they jack up the price and don't give any loyalty bonus'. OK well I kinda got started on it, but I will stop now.

white dwarf, at least for the america's, is utter rubbish. before issue 310, we got supplied from the UK version, which was at least an enjoyable read (to me) now we get an upstart US version that is an utter three riungs down from the UK version. i mean its utter crap, i refuse to spend 10 jard earned dollars on rubbish material where i would have before.

from what i've seen of it [i don't pay attention to it that much, lol] it's basically a news summary of new stuff, new offers, advanced orders and tournies, in your email. i liked BG, alas...
too bad the new site takes FOREVER and a day to load. so slow. ughhh

I concur. I will not spend $$$ on a mag that does nothing except show me pretty pics of new minis that they want me to buy. They really lack in the cool article dept. Very dissapointing. Black Gobbo at least had some good articles to read.
