Nothin definitive yet...all that is known is that instead of seperate books for each order it will be one all encompassing tomb of knowledge...

I know people who are wondering just that Dragoon, particulary James Bloodfang, he cant wait for Inquisition plastics lol. They would be great though, even if they looked the same, plastic would just be much cooler ^^

likely never plastic termies... plastic power armoured knights? while it does seem cool and all, i still have a feeling they'll leave the knights as metal models. (otherwise every little kid is going to start converting regular space marines to have grey knight weapons and expect to be able to use them!)

as for the inquisition 'dex itself; long, long way off lads! and i still haven't heard yet if it really will be just 1 codex. that's what most of the designers want, but the logistics of it are hellish! (ie: trying to write a proper background section for each ordo in the same amount of space as the eldar or chaos or ork 'dexes have won't be fun...)
then there's the playability & balance issue. imagine an army comprised of say, grey kngiht terminators supported by a bunch of kill-teams and some seraphim + 3 exorcists?! (all i can say is "ouch!")
and finally, it has been decided that the radicals must get the same amount of treatment as their puritan counterparts! right now us poor radicals have litterly nothing; codex daemonhunters makes radicals pretty much unplayable without resorting to some kind of allies, while codex: witch hunters has no real radical option anywhere! (and radical witch hunters are rather nasty individuals full of character i might add!)

i honestly feel that multiple books would be alot easier on the design studio. but if they can find a way to do it all in one book and keep it all well balanced, then i'd most definately bow-down to them!

cheers!

I'd like to see Sororitas in plastic.
Much easier to do part swaps and stuff.

that's almost a certainty! plastic sisters have been a long time wait and is the main thing that's currently holding back the witch hunter codex from becoming almost as popular as the space marine 'dexes!
it's simply unafordable for the majority of younger gamers, while only the dedicated veteran gamer is willing to shell out for all those sisters!

it's the main reason that most sisters players seem to be GW staffers!

cheers!

RADICALSSSSSS ! FINALLYYY haha. this should be fun...now, just to wait the like 5 years before any of this is actually released -___- but i think that the codex release would likely come with accordingly new models. it wouldn't make sense to release a codex without new models, so based on estimation i'd expect at least plastic sisters :]

the new models would likely be a selection of the following;
- plastic sisters of battle
- deathwatch space marine set
- new inquisitor & retinue sculpts
- new assassin sculpts
- exorcist in plastic
- radical troop types

and i think this book is more like only 2-3 years or so away... it will be done rest assured! but there's simply the other easier-to-tackle projects to come first!

cheers!

I don't see plastic grey knights coming out anytime soon. With such a low model count, GW wouldn't be making enough money off your 2000 point army. Think about it, If a grey knight army cost you $300 to buy, it'd be a lot more tempting wouldn't it?

well, you'll likely get them in 3 years'ish or so when the inquisition gets the shiny new codex treatment...

again, this project is a very difficult one because of the huge scope of the inquisition itself... balancing everything while still allowing plenty of options and giving proper attention to both puritan & radical factions is a nightmare come true for the games designers!

cheers!

I actually prefer that the sisters stick to metal minatures.. metal minatures just have so much more detail than plastic ones, and the sisters do have beautifully scuplted figures... I'd hate to see that change.

Although, GW's plastic molding technology has evolved alot over the years... I may just be surprised, who knows

actually with the new laser cutting tech they use in the craetion of molds...it is very possible that a new plastics line would have the same amount of detail as the metal castings...

I just hope they do it right and nothalf assed as they are prone to do with so many other projects...seems over the years that while the rules get butchered and the figs get sweeter, GW tends to leave bigger gaps in that are left up to the individual to fill in...be it fluff or alliances or anything else...each time the rules chnage or a new dex comes out it seems to fall short...I hope they realize this and decide to make the new Ordos dex a complete release and not have a second edition because something arrises where the FAQ is so large it takes up an entire volumn of it's own

Aye ten years ago but nowadays plastics are just as detailed and far better for converting.

Even now, there are just some things that you simply cant do with plastics, especially with the type of Styrene that GW uses. Thats one reason why Forge World uses Resin over styrene. I do however, realize that the technology has evolved in leaps and bounds, but Im just hoping that it shows in the future sister models and arent " half assed " as Wolf Pack said lol.

hrmph.....i LOVE my sisters right now, and i dont think that they could put in the same amount of detail that they do with the metal ones as they are......especially with sisters cause they have so many small fiddly bits like the beads, fluers, weird pauldron designs, ect.
