dark elf rumors - 40K Terra

basically, a bunch of stuff i've gleaned from druchii.net & from other dark elf fanatics at HQ in oakville;

- the rumored army-wide special rule will be hatred. however, it's also rumored that against dark elves, this will become eternal hatred AND charging dark elf units will also receive +1A!

- the lords/heroes section is pretty much as is, the main rumor pointing to the beastmater being dropped as he's not really utalised.
instead, he's rumored to be replaced by a witch elf hag!

- dark magic is said to really be changing... the dark elves are also likely losing their +1 to-cast bonus. overall, their magic is thought to become 100% focused on maiming and killing so we could lose supportive spells like word of pain...

- executioners are losing killing blow. instead they'll get a new kind of armour piercing rule to give them some extra bite against heavy cavalry and such.

- cold ones may be getting a rule which stops them from going stupid all the time.

- beastmaster is rumored to become an upgrade for a manticore or hydra. the manticore could also become a rare choice. rummors also hint at the druchii getting a new monster as a rare choice!

- model-wise there's rummors for plastic coldone knights, dark riders & corsairs. this seems pretty likely as each army is supposed to have all plastic core choices + 1 or 2 plastic non-core units...
also there's alot of hinting at a plastic box for dark elf nobles!

ooo a new monster you say?
I currently have a long-term plan to utilise the 5 heads from the Hydra as heads of a team of alien bounty hunters for use in Inquisitor - but like i say, its still just a concept at the moment and If they were to perhaps redo the Hyrda, I may well be better off just waiting a bit longer.

there is a rummor going around in the uk that the dark elfs will be getting posined attacks

witch elves will keep their poisoned attacks for sure... assassins IIRC are slated to get poison too.
it definately won't be across the entire army however!
