1 extremely viable reason maybe: the forge world baneblade sucks!

especially when compared to the GW one. it has no detail (the maximilian verison is hardly any better) and the GW one fits in with 40k a lot better

With the new GW Baneblade plastic kit, FW has the potential to lose a lot of money. This conversion kit could be the first of many for the plastic Baneblade.

the plastic one is easier to assemble, easier to convert, easier to paint and has more detail. the original FW one is old and looks like one of the DIY tony Cottrel ones from the eighties, with no detail whatsoever. and for people who like their 40k tanks gothic, the plastic one is just so much cooler.

well I prefer less gothic myself but to each his own.But remember you get a nice maxmillian Weiseman model with that baneblade.

Some time in the future, I shall shed myself of my sanity and create a regiment of IG tanks, with one of each super heavy in it. But that, is for another crazy day.

Anybody have a max Wieseman figure? I want one... isnt he from Krieg anyway (or someplace similar)?

I have 1 and hes awesome.The baneblade he comes with has 2 Weiseman models (one on foot and one for a tank hatch) the tank model has a pointy riding switch that snaps easily though.I forgot where he comes from tough but he was on the front line against the orks.

you know, someone at some point in this thread has guessed that this conversion kit will cost the same as the baneblade and so everyone has taken this as exactly the price it will be.

But even if it is £60 (which personally I highly doubt), then 60+60 is still only £120 and considering the FW Shadowsword is £150, you're still saving £30. Although for the completest the £150 FW one may be preferable because of the (award-winning) interior detail and Kreig extras.
