Really? my Local store is getting them in according to the paper work i saw. Also there is a few new nid box's one has 5 carnifex's with a "fleet" special rule, the other is the basic swarm you to death box.

because these boxes are ment to be 100% plastic, or as much plastic as possible... plastic is a better buy - especially for hobby initiates who haven't done much in the way of modeling.

and yes, a pile of these boxes will be availalbe only through direct services... i'd have to look them over again to hint at which ones however.
(granted some stores got a few of the 25th anniversary boxes, but it was hit and miss as to who got what!)

Probely the same reason i don't get plastic immortals or anything lol but i thought the same thing....mind you there the stronger version of the stealth suits not the pansy ones.

But XV8 battlesuits are plastic as well and an elites choice just like stealth suits.
My guess would be that every set has a roughly equal points value in-game, and to keep prices down they used stealth suits.
Or maybe they've done the same thing as what happened with the original Pegasus Knights plastic box with 3 pegasii - had 10 times the number intended manufactured.

skimmers will be alot easier to deal with in 5th edition as you can now cause penetrating hit ont them...

the one nice thing about these new boxes is that they are actually proper, legal armies! no more of this, 'here's a bunch of units for you, and oh, you still need this and this to play a proper game!'
nope, now you can come into your local store with the units from one of these boxes and play a game!

that's a moot point... all of the apoc boxes were simply the various formations in a box - not an army box!

the necrons have never had any 'boxed army' beyond the 'get you started' battleforce one or two badly put together christmas deals...

The thing with all these discount sets is that if I get any of them, then I won't get just the one and then at this rate I'd end of having the entire 3rd Detachment of the Nova Legion (that's four full companies basically). Although at the moment I only have about 60 marines, plus no doubt however many will be in the new starter set.

The Necron, Tyranid, and Tau sets aren't bad for starter kits, if you ask me. Not much to the eldar box, IMO...

Just hope the wife does not hide the credit cards on me again. She did that after I bought 800 steel legion and 10 leman russ's last year. Took me 3 months to find them :-(
