Default THIS IS A REALLY JUICY RUMOR!

http://belloflostsouls.blogspot.com/...netstrike.html

EVERYONE! Copy and paste this whole link and read it!

Heres what it says:
Ok, since its Christmas I'll spill what little I know.
(...) It just feels like years of developing the game for strict tournament play is no longer the focus of the game...now it’s more about fun and creativity as we've witnessed with Apocalypse...and will see with...PLANETSTRIKE!

Yes, Planetstrike is the name of the next supplement (unless someone at GW reads this, gets mad and changes it out of spite). It’s about taking the game into the 3rd dimension (Waa?). This is why you’ve been hearing about a deepstrike book; but it’s much more than that! It is about adding flyers and drop pods into the game but also about fighting missions with a clear attacker/defender. I’m sure this has been said before elsewhere so consider this another “confirmation” if you will. There will be a plastic SM drop pod that can also be a chaos deathclaw (I think that’s what it’s called). There will be plastic storm troopers (look like kasrkin) and a plastic valkyrie. The Valkyrie may even be available as a transport in the next guard codex. There are also several new terrain kits in the works. A landing pad, a defence laser and a bunker. All of these can be combined to create a fortification and it goes without saying that they are compatible with the current CoD building sets. There are some other things I’ve heard about Planetstrike, but I’m waiting for a second source to confirm them before I spill.

Planetstrike will be released at GDUK AFIK since 5th will now be out at the beginning of the summer (they switched places for some reason). (...)

I'm sure you all will understand if I'm a bit skeptical about this. It sure sounds great though...

This rumour has been around for a while, but this is more detailed, it will come and come good next year around the same time as Appoc. If those scenery rumours are true that could really help me, I hope they are!

cool and thanks

Well, a few years ago who would have thought that they would make a plastic Baneblade? After all Forgeworld's is over $250! Yet low and behold here we are.

With the price of a Valkyrie I can see it being less then $70 in plastic

Wait... what does the 5th be out at the beginning of summer mean? Surely not the 5th ed?!!! I just friggin bought the 4th ed. book! they're not even done all the codices! Sure, vechicle rules could use a redo... but surely not a 5th ed only 4 years after the release of 4th ed.... it took 6as long with 3rd ed. besides... that would be mean I would have to figure out how tos ship out a huge book to me in Bangladesh...

I would love to see GW Dreadclaw pods. I hope at least that rumor is true. I can't understand why GW doesn't make flyers, but I bet they will soon. I mean, a Baneblade is now accessible to me (I refuse to pay FW prices). I really hope GW expands to flyers and other superheavies. I would give my right eye for a GW Mk2 LR, but if not I will buy a FW one. I really hope the scenery rumors pan out, that would be awesome!

It's ********, in all honesty.. The '5th Edition is coming out next summer' is ********, and it takes central place in this guys rumor, so this guys rumor is thereby B.S... Bell of Lost Souls just lost MAJOR points in my book.

They had better not release 5th edition next year. I'll be so angry. I just got the big 4th edition book!!! And so many codexes need to be updated... Grrr...

Plus, "Planetstrike" sounds way too much like my favorite video game PlanetSide.

They're not releasing 5th edition.. I dunno how many times how many different peopkle have said it: They're NOT RELEASING IT... Every time the SM codexs are almost fully updated or released, or a re-write is in the works, the gossip hens panick and start 'leaking' info about 5th edition.

My sentiments exactly. A bit off topic, but you know what I'd like to see gone? Orbital Strike. If my models are gonna die, at least let them die by another model, not some imaginary gunship supposedly flying above the battlefield!

But that's the point of Orbital Strike... You're dealing usually with the Inquisition, and the Inquisition can requisition ships from space, and command them to fire to the ground. The fact that the shots have to focus on a terrain piece and can't follow important targets should tell you GW staffers were thinking about how broken that would be.

If GW were releasing fifth edition while they're still raking in the dough and still have armies to update, I might just use the money I was going to put into GW minis to buy an orbital bombardment from NASA.

But in all seriousness, I might just boycot GW while I sulk, and invite others to join my sulkage while I play Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 ed. to spite the wargame industry and the new release of D&D 4th Ed.

Don't play DnD! Play WFRP and Dark Heresy! Much better Rps! DnD is terrible!

Oh, and Erus, thanks for telling me that... I was panicking for a while...

Still... to plastic Drop Pods/Dread Claws!

With the release of plastic baneblades I can assure you, dreadclaws and drop pods in plastic will be coming. However, I cannot tell you when.

Planet Strike... you know, the only thing that appeals to me is the plastic droppods... maybe a plastic thunderhawk, but I like the the idea of drop pods at $35 dollars...

exactly, and in my opinion this rumor involves another expansion dealing with Deepstrike, and assaults from the sky, just as Appoc dealt with mass, large scale armies etc...
