Well a few things i thought you guys might interested in that i have found out are.


-Furrys are going to be remade in a plastic version, so stock up on metal well you can.

-Inquisition is becoming direct only Due to lack of Interest

-Witch hunters may have the same thing happen as Inquisition

-The Apocalypse sets (all the fun 600 buck ones) are being pulled off shelfs due to lack of interest and cost.

-Best deal of all the new 25th Box sets is the Skaven (we added it up...)

+++ not totally. we still carry and can re-stock grey knights, (both PA + termies), in the box + blister varients it's mainly the actual inquisitors + their retinues and all the assassins except the vindicare which are becoming a direct only product.
also, it's not so much 'lack of interest' as it is we simply need the shelf space for newer stuff! daemonhunters are still decent in terms of popularity overall...+++

+++ again, certain sets like the throne of judgement, arco flagellants, individual blisters and such are being pulled and made into direct only offers.+++

-The Apocalypse sets (all the fun 600 buck ones) are being pulled off shelfs due to lack of interest and cost.
+++ well they were never ment to be 'regular line' product actually! each and every apoc set was nothing more than a 'splash release', that is, a special offer put together purely for the release of apoc itself!
it's really the same deal as a spearhead box for the newest army; you get all the new stuff + book 2 weeks prior to actual release. once a spearhead is sold out, it's gone forever... these are the exact same thing, but you can still direct order them in this case!+++

-Best deal of all the new 25th Box sets is the Skaven (we added it up...)
+++ the skaven deal works out to a 44% savings compared to buying everything in the box individually...
all the other sets work out to anywhere between a 14% savings to about a 30% savings.+++

But yes i did spell it wrong and they have been pulled from all the local gw shelfs and are on sale for 25 bucks a box,same for penitent engines\chaos dragon\vampire dragons\so on.

Plus, The first line WAS on topic, as it was affirming stitch as a more than reliable, proven source with solid connections in the industry you don't know about. Beyond a red shirts, or a GW store managers.

Plus, anyone with a little research can uncover stockist orders,etc... I happen to have just such information, and it's not her stock or a regional sales bit. It's GW wide trends and policys, etc...

She's not saying STOCK. She's saying things are being moved from selling to one thing to another. She's agreeing with you, actually, just adding to it. When you move something to order only (like stitch said), it is not for her store... It's GW wide. Stitch works at GW, so her saying 'we' is basically saying 'GW'

Besides, one country doesn't have separate Direct Order and Direct Sales. Company doesn't run that way. And I know from first hand experience as a stockist (former, and soon to be current) it doesn't.

You spoke fo your stock levels and habits in GENERAL and BROAD terms as if it were true for all the hobby. Stitch corrected you, told you what WAS the case, and you can't seem to fathom she's not speaking of stock, she's speaking of product line, order division status, etc..

I'm not arguing, El. I'm just trying to make sure everyone sees both sides of the claims (stitchs and yours) and they don't go in a panic buying metal furies or the like. That's all.

Please, unless you have sources, don't post up rumors without a good, solid basis you can cite. It will help your credibility and believability tons. Rumors and news is cool, but there's a need for credibility as well..

Stitch can bring reliable sources to bear, but you seem to be posting just what I take for your own speculation and guesses. All well and fine, what this forum is here for, but try to not post them styled as inside info, or with a less authoritative stance, if that's what they are. Or if a GW manager told you it, try 'a GW employee' said. If someone gives you flack on listening to redshirts, you can say it was a manager then.

Just trying to help you understand where others comes from, and how maybe you can keep giving us news, but make us a bit more likely to believe it. Plus, Witch Hunters are Inquisition (just teasin ya here.)

but i feel that this might might be a case for some of us to simply, 'agree to disagree' in part.

also El, next time it would also help to list things like;
a) what kind of store you got the info from.
- GW stores & indie stores have very different rules/regs and thus while an indie store for example might pull certain stock, a GW store will keep it around. (if only to claim we 'carry the full range of product')
- GW direct order is as erus pointed out, GW direct order. any country can order the same thing as any other within each nations own import/export laws.
again, indie stores have different rules.

b) as erus pointed out, always list a source! just DON'T POST NAMES!!! it's impolite in most cases and it can sometimes lead to trouble with the inquisition... (for example, saying 'my local store's manager' indeed implies your info comes from the manager of your local GW store)

c) keep in mind we are truely global community. thus, what one person considers banter or some amuzing slang, is unknowingly very offensive to another person. (ie: the term 'bugger' is quite commen and non-offensive for the brits. it tend to send north americans into a dizzy however...)
don't take anything too personal... you'll honestly really know when someone here is being a real troll

Well Im living in America right now but my closest GW shop is in Canada. I sometimes go there, no so much anymore BUT still, and see no difference in Quality or Stock of the product. They have the same SM box sets that good ole USA has just i can get some gravy fries around the block there. And have to ask for Ketchup.
