Space Wolves
We also have word of the following Codex:Space Wolves updates:

The Codex is into testing

Blood Claws are armed with bolt pistol, ccw, frag, and krak and can take special weapons or powerfist/power weapons. They have Furious Charge instead of berserker charge. Minimum squad size is 10 and they can go as high as 20. WS is now 4 but BS stays at 3.

Grey Hunters are armed like Chaos marines (bolter, bolt pistol, ccw, grenades). No more True Grit, but Counter Charge stays for this unit. They can take an assortment of special weapons or powerfist/power weapons. Squad Leader is a wolf guard with options like a vet sergeant from Codexark Angels.

Jump pack Blood Claws are a separate unit entry now.

Wolf Guard are split into two squad types - terminators and power armour.

Wolf scouts can infiltrate or come on from any table edge.

Long Fangs stay as is. Probably picking up a bolt pistol and ccw in addition to their big guns.

Dreads and ven dreads go down to WS4, but Bjorn is back as a special character. Unknown if they can be HQ units.

Yes, but, let me enjoy that, I bloody hated true Grit! There armoury isnt that much different! Kroms favourite unit Grey Hunters and "True Grit" his favorite phrase!

NICE...... The true grit thing....Isnt that the same BASICLY as they have with the Bolter Pistol and ccw? just a name change?

i always thought ALL marines should have true grit as standard, it just seems right for their supposedlyt immense strength to be able to use bolters as pistols.

No it means we can get 3 attacks on the charge instead of jsut 2 as you loose the extra attack for chargng if using true grit.

Not to keen on the blood claws loosing their cool rule. Also not to keen on the sergeant thing as that means I have to buy more models and basically makes wolf guard useless besides as terminators. But yer its fluffy.

hmmmm... no big surprises really...

the grey hunters getting the same basic gear as chaos marines have means true grit is pointless!

nice to see the blood claws getting the true 'mob size', plus furious charge = waaaay nastier than +2A! (S5/I5? oh god yes!!!)

interesting to see how they deal with wolf scouts & the power armoured wolf guard... the latter i can see gaining pretty much the same style of options as say, chaos chosen in that they'll get an obscene amount of juicy power toy/fist & similar upgrades.
wolf scouts though... they're tricky because right now i hate them with a passion! really, to me it's a bit too good how they can come on behind the enemy. (luckily right now they're also a 0-1 choice, but that will change as GW is doing away with all those silly restrictions...)

hopefully wolf lords, rune/wolf priests will get to keep at least one or two of the cool upgrades like the wolf tooth necklace, wolf pelt and such... those little 'lucky charm' type upgrades really help keep the true flavour of the wolves!

crapdammit!!! now i'll have to add 2 more claws to my pack good thing the other changes more than make up for the extra work i'll have to put in blood claws with furious charge? make mine a double!

Spirits suitably diluted. Got an extra shot of scotch with the GH and BC but had a gallon of ginger ale poured on to take the edge away. Mdels better be good.

grey hunters dont NEED true grit if they have two close combat attacks!!! you still can shoot the pistol and get another attack from charging, AND another attack with two close combat weapons!!! its pointless to keep it.
kind of strange though, because space wolves were the first to have true grit.

You know what I would love to see his definatly a fix to the overpriced blood claw jumpers but more would be more powers for the rune priest I know Space Wolves hate phycics but I would see it more sharmatic which fits.

Most likely a change to wolf pelts if the rumors of all having what seems the old countercharge rules and those who have it now have the same effect as wolf pelt making it useless for wolves.
