Found on pg in Codex: Catachans (http://us.games-workshop.com/games/4...xcatachans.pdf)

"Wargear: Plasma pistol, shotgun and unique bionics (See special Rules)."

This would be great if they seperated into weapons and wargear piles. As the Unique bionics says it counts as a PF.

So does this mean it also acts as a single handed weapon (to claim +1 A for 2 one handed weapons) as it is his hand? or Is all his weapons "wargear" therefore NEVER claiming the +1 A?

My interpretation is to view straken like Yarrack, he could claim the +1 A even though he has more weapons they he should ie. storm bolter, laspistol and Power Claw.

What are your interpretations?

I can't say definately but we play it as though Strakken is equipped with two hth weapons (plasma pistol and power fist). the added benefits of rhtis fist being he strikes with initiative and it gives him the 5+ save.

KH, if you mean he strikes at full init. value w/ a powerfist, you are off there. I have learned, the hard way, that if it says 'counts as power/chain/whatever' then it is striking last. But otherwise, i'd say he does get the +1 attack for 2 on handed weapons. The unique bionics count as a powerfist, therefore treat him as if the wargear 'unique bionics' were literally nothing more than a power fist put on the model with a different name.

I'm confused then...

What about the line :"The arm counts as a power fist but devices in the chest unit allow him to strike using his Initiative value instead of going last."

I read that to mean the power fist rules were being modified as the pistol would be used at regular initiative. If there has been a thread about thhis already point me to it and I'll catch up there.

It would mean just that. If it says that he strikes with his I, then he is not striking last, obviously.

As with Kid, the way he's always being used here is that his "unique bionics" and his Plasma pistol Added the +1 attack
